Cold Devil

I'm walking through the ice.

The shards are stabbing and slicing my skin.

I'm the sacrifice.

To see if she'll fall in.

I don't wish to leave.

Even the air, as cold as the devil, which I breathe.

There's a burden I should heave.

Of which the cold devil won't let me receive.

I can not help her. Even though I love her so. From here on out she'll be alone in the snow.

Because I hear it cracking.

The thin,

breakable ice.

But to save her,

I'll have to be her sacrifice.
