by the time i got there the dragon people or whatever they are had destroyed a whole city block. I notched an arrow but I didn't know how to shoot, so I ended up shooting a already destroyed window Jake charged about half a block and then had to stop and catch his breath. Jordan drew her swords and started up the street at a steady pace I drew another arrow and followed her lead.

when I first saw them I almost ran for my life. they were about nine feet tall each. and each carrying a sword that was as long as i was tall. there were three of them. so naturally we aeh took one. big mistake,

as soon as i took a step towards it it turned and opened maw and its chest started to glow. Then it opened fire and I mean fire barely had time to react i dove to the side as the hurricane of fire blazed past. the air turned thick and reaked like brimstone. I glanced at my friends who were desperately fighting the beasts then theirs as well opened their maw "duck" I managed to say right before i blacked out.

When I woke up, the first thing I thought was "are my friends OK?" I sat up and looked around through the haze and smoke I saw two shapes on either side of me I got up and started towards one. crumpled on the asphalt was Jake I quickly rolled him over on his side and checked his heart even through the thick armour I heard his heart beating. "uuuuh" he moaned 'take that you beast."

"OW" I cried out "why did you do that" "oh sorry" he said opening his eyes. we ran over to Jordan. but she was already getting up. come on lets go I called my friends to my side

when we caught up to the dragon kin again I took charge."you two distrakt the one on the far left i'll go around and try to get them in the back" Jordan ran towards them benging her swords to gether. and jake threw a chained ball at them and it wasn't to effective but it got there attention. now was my chance I sprinted around them hoping they didn't notice me. They didn't, when I got around I clumsily notched an arrow and took aim " friska" I whispered under my breath. I didn't know why I guess it just sounded cool. little did i know it was the word that would save me. as the arrow flew through the air it cotted itself in ice when it hit its mark the dragon thing roared in pain it barely had time to turn be for the ice got to its heart and it dropped dead.then before the second one could realise what was happening Jake stabbed it , rint in the back of its chest.Unlucky though the third had realised what was happening, it quickly raised its shield. And the arrow bounced harmlessly of it, he charged. I drew my dagger and got ready to sidestep him but it was not necessary Jakes chain tightened around his ankles and he fell. Jordan didn't wait any more she jumped on its back and slashed it in the back making a X mark and then stabbed it and it must have been in the heart because in roared in agony flung its head back and then dropped dead .

after the battle we stood and admired the sunset "that was so cool" Jordan said at last. "we defeated the dragon people and learned that you have magical powers!"

" magical powers yes defeated the dragon people no. i fear that that was just some scouts that was just the beginning"

i said and turned and enjoyed our last moments of peace.
