The Beginning of the End

Austin's Point of View:

Yey! We survived the first attack! Well, my friends survived. I'm dead. I still regret following that one Shadow to the river. I noticed Dawn walking toward me. "Austin? Can I talk to you?" she asked. "Well, you're already talking to me so I guess." I replied. Dawn gave me a dirty look. I can't say I blame her. "You're a Spirit so, is this the only fight?" she asked. I shook my head. "No. In order to stop the Shadows, we have to take out the leader. When the leader is defeated, the Shadows will be destroyed. But, that means we have to take the fight to the leader, which means fighting in their camp." I told her. Dawn was odviously scared but she hid it and rounded up the others. I think everyone, including her, has decided she's the leader. "What do you need?" Toby asked. "Austin just informed me that in order to defeat the Shadows is to take out the leader but, that means going to their camp." Dawn explained. Rose looked up. "So, we go to their camp, defeat the leader, and come home to our families? Sounds like a plan!" Dawn shook her head and was about to say something when Julie spoke up. "Their camp is more likely guarded and hidden well. Also, there will be at least 100 Shadows there." she said. "But we just got done fighting at least 100!" Rose protested. "We can take them!" "That could have only been a part of the Shadow army." Julie snapped. "Enough!" Dawn yelled. "We leave for the camp in 3 days! At dawn on the 4th day, we head for the camp!" she snapped and walked away leaving everyone in a stunned silence. "Okay then, we should start practicing. Rose do you want to train with me?" Aaron asked. I noticed Rose blushed before agreeing. Everyone else started pairing up. That's when I realized I forgot to mention the dangers that we have to face in order to reach the camp.

A/N: Sorry I didn't update on Sunday. I managed to find enough time to update while I was packing. I'm moving so I'll try to update next Sunday too but I'm not promising anything.
