I was standing in the front of my dad's wine storage room with Katrina. She is a 7 years old girl who has the black hair and dark brown eyes like me. She is not my sister but we are very close. She was in my house playing with me and running around my house.
"Katrina wait!" I said. "Don't run so fast!"
"Come-on!" Laughed Katrina, "You turtle!"
Katrina went in the wine storage room and I followed. This was not my most favorite place in my house. Mostly because here was so squeezy with all the boxes blocking the path, the next was because the A.C. was always open in here and is was as cold and dry as Antarctica. Every air I breath in was so dry and cold and it made my throat kind of hurt. It was so dark inside.
"Julie!" Katrina yelled suddenly. "There was something strange over here!"
I ran to her. Although there was all the wine boxes blocking my way and the darkness blocking my view, I still made it fast. I looked at where she pointed. We were at the left back corner of the room, and I don't see anything strange about this corner. Filled with dusty wine boxes and bottles. I squeeze my eyes to see clearer. Then I saw the differences. There was a crack on the left wall, where there are less boxes and no bottles. This corner was also lighter than the other corners. The crack was really thin, but it was still a crack. It was also lighter in this corner although I didn't turn the light on.
I pushed on the crack, the crack became bigger and let in a tiny bit of yellowish light. I pushed harder, and it became a crack that Katrina and I can slip in. We slip through the crack and found out it wasn't a crack. It was a secret door.
"Let's go in!"
