(Adam's POV)

"I'm sorry, What!?" I asked Damon confused by what he just asked me. "Are you asking me out on a date?"

"No-" Damon said glancing to the side not making eye contact with me. " What I meant was for us to hang out together some time, not a date." Even with his explanation I still felt confused as to why Damon Evens was even talking to me, I didn't think he even noticed I existed let alone want to hang out with me. Damon's face was so hopeful and almost desperate there was no way I could say no to him.

"Ok." I sighed a short breath, Damon instantly brightened at my reply which was pretty cute if I'm to be honesty. This all seemed awfully familiar in a way, deja vu?

"That's great how about Saturday at around two o'clock I'll come pick you up, yeah?"

"Yeah that's fine with me." I answered still not fully believing was going to be hanging out with Damon.

"See you then." Was the last thing Damon said before walking away. My heart was pounding in my ears and my headphones weren't helping with it. Why did I feel sad seeing Damon walk away? I'm acting weird today I should talk to Jackie about it. Jackie and I have been friends since...don't know when but she's always been there for me and she helps me with my hearing problem some how. I still don't know how she does it, but she's a really good friend and I bet she could help me figure out what this feeling is.

Back in the lunch room, were Damon pulled me aside before I could find Jackie. I found Jackie sitting with Leo. They were arguing about something again. I had to have my headphones in during lunch because it was always so loud in here. Usually I'd go to my special room, but I really needed to talk to Jackie so I had to hold my head up and manage some how.

Making my way to the table I bump into several tables and people, my nerves getting the best of me. Jackie saw me before I made it to her and rushed over to me with a worried expression. "Adam what are you doing here you never come into the lunch room?" Although she asked all o could do was give her a look telling her what I wanted. Nodding Jackie looked back at Leo and silently mouthed she would be back.

When we were out side I sighed in relief. "So whats up?" Jackie was a nice girl and always took care of me she was my best friend and I could talk to her about everything. But a part of me had a feeling if I told her about Damon she wouldn't approve. And after giving it a quick thought I realized I could handle it myself, "it was nothing much just I really wanted to tell you....that I will cove over to for house next weekend OK." I lied. Jackie have me a confused look but said OK and asked if that was all. I nodded yes and she walked back into the building. Jackie didn't need to know about my date with Damon.

Saturday morning Damon was at my door around noon. A few greetings and complements later we were on our way. After about thirty minutes or so I asked where we were going.

"Its a surprise." Damon smiled.

"I don't like surprises." I whined managing to make his chest rumble in laughter. "I'm serious!"

"Well, I'm willing to bet you'll like this surprise."

"Oh yeah?"

"Yes."

"Well if I don't like it then what?" I asked.

Damon just gave me a side glance and turned his attention to the road. I just watched out the window as buildings and people turned to trees and grassy hills. Then we stopped at a small cabin.
