Anatolia flopped back in bed, dead tired. She had been helping her fiancée plan their wedding and it had been more stressful than she first thought. Flowers and cakes and music and venues and dresses and guest lists and caterers. It was mind numbing.Lady Grace strode into the room with her cell in her hand. She sat on her side of the bed and kicked off her boots. "Derek and Kristie will be coming over tomorrow for fittings. Is that okay with you?"
Over the course of a few months, Derek and Kristie had gotten close. They had been secretly dating for a long time until Anatolia had caught them canoodling in Derek's room. When the secret was out, they dated out in the open to everyone's approval. Anatolia liked Kristie so she didn't mind at all. Lady Grace had loved the union, especially when Derek and Kristie had gotten serious and moved out together. Anatolia felt sorrow at the loss of her brother, but their mental connection was strong as ever despite the physical distance.
Anatolia turned onto her side. "You already planned it, didn't you?"
"I did. I just wanted to let you know and pretend you had an option of denying my plans."
Smiling, Anatolia pulled her giggling fiancée down and held her close. "That's fine. Just remember that Kristie needs to take it easy."
Lady Grace nodded and settled herself, snuggling into Anatolia's chest. "I know. I've already told everyone. Did you hear the names they've thought of?"
"Terrible, right?"
"So bad. Tell me if we have kids we won't give them horrible names."
"Kids?" Anatolia shifted her legs to get comfortable. "We're still planning our wedding. Should we really be thinking about kids right now?"
Lady Grace shrugged. "I'm not getting any younger."
Anatolia pulled back and looked into Lady Grace's face. "Are you serious? Do you really want kids?"
"Well... What do you think?"
Sighing, Anatolia couldn't help but see herself changing diapers and playing peekaboo. It didn't put her off. "Can we at least wait until after we're married? Your dress lady is going to have a conniption if she has to accommodate a baby bump."
"Really? You're saying yes?"
"I am." Anatolia leaned down and lifted Lady Grace's chin with her nose. She pecked Lady Grace's neck. "I waited so many years to get you. I waited even more years to finally get married to you. I don't want to wait anymore. I want everything."
Lady Grace moaned and poked her fingers just underneath Anatolia's shirt. She fingered a recent burn, one that was begged for, whined for. It was the only way Anatolia could get a burn now since Lady Grace had full control of her fire.
Anatolia flicked her tongue out and smiled. "I don't love you."
Lady Grace chuckled. "I don't love you, either."
