The Z Purge

The Spread

This story is about a man named James and his life in a apocalypse.

I wake up around 6:00 to get ready for my college class. I grab a bowl of Coco Puffs and put on the news and start eating. They are blabbing about some disease spreading in Africa. I call up my pitbull, Max, up on the couch with me and give him some love before I go to school and work. I stand up and grab my bag and get into my car and start driving to school.

I pull up to my school and get out of the car and start walking to my class. I'm sitting in class but my mind is drifting in and out of random thoughts and day dreams. The clock hits 10:00 as I get up and start walking to my car to head to work.

I pull up in the Ralph's parking lot and walk into the backroom and get dressed for work. I start stocking up the backrooms boxes and crates when I hear I radio broadcasting something about the African disease has started spreading faster and faster through Africa. I tried to zone it out but it was blaring loudly in the back. I just ignored it and went about my work.

I got off work at 5:00. I get into my car and start driving home and, again, another broadcast saying the disease has reached Europe. I started getting a little freaked out so I rushed home to relax. I grab a bag of chips, A soda, a pipe and a little bit of weed to help me relax and de-stress after a long day. After I'm done smoking and I lay on the couch with my dog max and watch TV and nap.

I wake up around 7:00 P.M. from my nap and reach for my phone, I scroll to my brother Jason to call him to come over and hang out. He answers the phone and says he's on his way over now and will be here soon. I run to the store and go buy some Mike's Hard Lemonade, some beef and burger buns. I get home and started cooking dinner.

Jason pulles up and strolls up to my apartment door and walks in. We sat down and started eating dinner and watching 21 Jump Street. Jason ends up passing out at my house all night, which is fine I enjoy the company of my brother. He is a very chill and cool guy to hang out with and to party with, plus he will always have you back if you earn it.
