HAZEL- Book One
~Chapter One~
I woke up in a large wooden area, something I'm not that used to. The trees in full bloom, flowers of every color surrounded me. It was (I believe) around dusk, the sun setting over the trees. I look around wondering where I was. It was so beautiful, a sparkling bright blue lake laid in front of me. The roaring crash from water against rocks was deafening, yet it was peaceful. Everything looked so full of life, I felt alive. I laid back down to the grass, stretching my arms up and down the soft grass. Hmm I like this, a new getaway place maybe? Escape the real world and come here to a peaceful wood. All of the sudden I heard a snap behind me and I quickly stood up. I squinted me eyes so I could see better. Nothing.
"Who's there?" I said. My voice came out shaky, and I scolded myself for showing that fear. "Come on Hazel, mom taught you to never show fear." Something dark green caught my eyes attention and I went toward a huge oak tree, as I walk toward it, a boy around my age came out from behind it. He was beautiful, dark night black hair, a wonderful muscular body, his skin color a pleasant warm brown, his eyes a clear honey-brown. He look surprise to find me here, but almost instantly his beautiful eyes turned cold.
"How did you get here?" said the mysterious boy, in a deep voice.
"I-I don't know. Who are you?" He hesitated, his honey color eyes beginning to take me in. Looking at me from bottom to top. He moved closer, staring at me closely. And as I began to examine him as well, I gasped: his ears were pointed. And unless I'm wrong, no human has ears that are pointed. I was so confused and wondering where I am....Hmm I raised and eyebrow towards him, so why not ask mystery boy here? I had nothing to lose.
"I am Jaxe. I am the Fairy King's, Adriel the first, advisor and general." Said Jaxe in a very firm voice."But, Who are you?" Asked Jaxe in a curious voice, but somehow the way he looked at me made me realized he already know.
"I'm Hazel. Um did you say fairy king? I said. I was even more confused now, fairies? For heavens sake those are myths or folk tales or I don't even know. How can a fairy be king, wait do fairies even exist?
"Ahem," Jaxe voice interrupted my thoughts, "Indeed I did Hazel, but you must leave here at once." He looked at me and pondered silently. "You need to get out of here now. You're in danger," he walked closer to me and whispered into my ear, touching my head "Close your eyes, Hazel."
"W-what?" I stammered. Almost instantly I felt drowsy, I began to be slipping away, the last thing I saw was his gorgeous brown eyes.

"Hazel! Wake up your going to be late for school! HAZEL!" My mom walks in my room and gets the covers off from on top of me. I groaned, but woke up remembering my very vivid dream. And Jaxe. Was it a dream? I thought. It had to be but then again, here in Chicago there's barely any wooden areas. Let alone a huge waterfall that I saw in the dream. I got dressed and began to forget all about it. I went downstairs where my mom was making breakfast, pancakes and bacon with a hot steaming cup of coffee. "Hey sleepyhead," My mom smiled as she said that to me when I walked in the kitchen, "You better hurry to catch the bus!"
"I will mom." I told her and quickly swallowed down my breakfast. "Ok mom, done see you later." I went to grab my jacket and to put on my shoes. I slipped my jacket under my arm and left for school.
Once I got there, I found my best friend Irene talking with this guy I've never seen before. But before I reached them, he left.
"Hey Irene who was that your new boyfriend?" I laughed, and gave her a big smile as her bright blue eyes looked at me. Irene was, in fact, very pretty. Beautiful blue eyes, almost Perfect white blond straight hair and all natural curves that all boys always whistle at. I, for one, was considered average with black hair (straight as straw) and hazel eyes (hence my name) and curves that were still developing.
