Rose and I wake up extra early the next morning so we could stop by my place before school, leaving Skipper to her two hour long routine for perfection. I jog inside the bakery and the jingling of the little bell warms my heart. The air smells of cinnamon and apples probably preparations for the mornings breakfast rush that will soon be coming.

I see my mom in the back room whipping together some of her famous pastries. "Hi mom!" I say giving her flour caked body a squeeze before running up the back stairs dragging Rose behind me.

Immediately Dragon gets up excited, his old bones getting weary since I haven't had the time to walk him in the last couple days. "I'll take to work with me this afternoon!" I promise my little baby knowing how much he loves playing in the fenced in area with the other dogs. The kittens start mewling and I make a similar promise to them in hope they would get adopted along with the other animals at the clinic.

I go to my room and switch my duffle bag for my school one. I tidy up a bit, straightening the comforter on my bed when a piece of paper flutters to the ground. Curious, I pick up the paper and realize it's a letter reading:

Kit,

Thank you for what you said.

I guess it was Mikey and I don't know what I said, but it makes happy that it deserved a thank you note. I'm halfway decided between writing him a note or wandering the streets tonight looking for them when Rose walks in.

"What are you doing Kit, we are going to be late!" She says sternly and I show her the note I found on my bed excitedly.

"Who wrote you this?" She asks cautiously.

"My Saviors!" She was right all I had to do was wait and they would come to me!

She glances from the note to me, "How do you know it was them?" The smile becomes a little smaller and Rose realizes that I don't know exactly who it is, but I'm still pretty sure it's Mikey.

"God Kit! This could be some creepy old man who has been stalking you or those guys in the ally. They had access to your bedroom, they were in your room! Kit do you realize how scary this is?" I hadn't, but I am so sure that it was the turtles. Rose sees the stubborn look on my face and continues her rant, "you left the window open didn't you... DIDN'T YOU?!?" She seems a bit tense so I offer her a back rub but she only glares. I sigh, she knows I love having my window open and being able to hear the sounds of New York. "How many times have I told you to lock it?" I don't have time to answer when she continues, "Lock it, lock it right now while I'm watching."

"But Rose, what if he comes back?" I ask, I really don't want to miss another note.

"That is exactly what I am afraid of!" She practically screams which makes Dragon bark in return. "Kitty I just don't want you to get hurt."

When she gives me her look of fear I nod closing and locking the window. But I do manage to bargain my way into leaving a note taped against the glass for my saviors to read when they come back. I just want them to know why the window is locked.
