Talon walked alone across the ledges of his city. He was a wetboy. An assassin for hire. He was a monster of a man, for he was not human. his race had long ago scattered all over the universe. He had been a warrior on his world. trained from birth to be proficient in all forms of combat. Humans referred to his origins as realms of chaos. Talon stopped across from a window and began to formulate a plan. he watched his target, a girl that couldnt have been past her late 20s, through the scope of his sniper rifle. he was the best money could buy, and he had been paid well. he chambered a round, a handmade cartridge that was untracable, and began to trace the bead around the room. other than his target, it was empty, though the girls bodyguards were sure to be just outside her room. not that it would matter. with his supressor, they wouldnt hear a thing. he sighed softly and took a deep breath, then slowly squeezed the trigger. the gun recoiled softly and he watched as the girls head dissapeared, replaced with a streak of bright red painted up the wall. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a disposable cell phone, he redialed the number that had hired him, and after several rings, a male voice answered. "hello talon, is the job done?" talon smiled. it was so typical of humans to doubt his honor. "yes. the money is to be deposited in the agreed upon bank account. you have two hours to make the deposit" the man scoffed "of course of course, i know what you do, and i know better than to hold out on a man who has done a job well done. i admire youre work." talon smiled, it was nice to know that his work was appreciated on this planet.many humans had made the mistake of doubting him, or attempting to screw him over. "glad to hear i have a fan" he said as he looked at his watch "tick tock" he said with a chuckle as he hung up. he dissasembled his rifle and began to make his way to his car, a light blue 4 door hummer. he could hear police sirens in the distance, meaning that his targets body had likely been found. he smiled a bit. So many govenments and so many planets had issued warrants for his arrest, yet it seemed no one could catch him. he was a ghost. popping in and out of peoples worst nightmares. he imagined the case files that govenments had, full of bodies and stories of "murder", but empty of any details of the alleged murderer. he climbed into his vehicle and slowly pulled out into the darkness, turning on his headlights and turning on his radio. opera began to play over the speakers and he hummed along as he dissapeared into the night.
