The Freaks Come Out At Night

"Well that was a complete and total waste of time; other than a great chick fight" Niall grumbled as his stomach made a gurgling noise making us aware that the little dude still didn't have anything to eat.

"Sorry Niall, I really blew up back there." I spoke letting my head hang down. I'm not particularly proud of myself for fighting. "Oh who cares? That bitch was so outta line saying that stuff. She needs to remember that he job is to take orders not give ignorant comments" Zayn blurted out looking quite flustered actually.

"Thanks Zayn" I spoke with a slight blush on my cheeks. "Man, I wish I would've brought my phone, then I could've recorded it and put it on worldstar.com! Damnit I could've been Internet famous!" Rissa whined as she sat down in the car.

"We can still get some food Niall...just not at McDonalds.." Liam trailed off as Harry started the car, completely ignoring Rissa.

"Hey, we can go to Starbucks!" Harry yelled making a U-turn and speeding off on the direction of I'm guessing Starbucks. "White people and Starbucks" Clarissa muttered shaking her head while adjusting herself so she was sitting upright in her seat again.

"What do you guys want?" Harry asked as we pulled into the parking lot. "Same as always" The boys spoke in unison. "What about you lot?" Harry asked, turning to Clarissa and I. "I'll have two banana nut muffins and a medium hot chocolate" I spoke leaning back in my seat.

"I want a blueberry muffin, a banana nut muffin, and a large whipped vanilla cappuccino" she spoke quickly.

"White people and Starbucks" I murmured, mocking Riss from earlier. Harry laughed and nodded walking into the building. He probably knows the menu by heart.

"Do you guys believe in myths? Like werewolves or witches or fairies, vampires or MERMAIDS?" Louis asked leaning towards Rissa and I. I just blinked rapidly, his random question catching me off guard.

Not to mention his emphasis on 'mermaid'. "PFT! Mermaids, please. Ha...ha no way" Clarissa practically screamed making really exaggerated hand movements. Way to be subtle.

"What's makes you ask such a thing?" I questioned raising an eyebrow. "No reason I was just wondering. I believe in mermaids AND werewolves. Last night I watched this documentary about them and it seemed pretty legit."

I nodded and internally sighed. Humans knowing about us could further jeopardize the survival of our race. Last time humans and Meries tried to live in peace together, humans didn't want to co-exist. They wanted to enslave us. Forcing us to go into hiding.

With all the new advancements in human technology fighting them would be a huge risk. Especially with the shortage of males that could fight right now.

It wasn't until Harry got back in the car that I snapped out of my thoughts.

Once we got back to the house we all ate. It was almost eight a.m and I was fucking exhausted. "Well, I'm going back to sleep" I spoke throwing my trash into the garbage. "Me too" Zayn and Rissa spoke in unison. They looked at each other and high fived.

Harry quickly looked away. He's so jealous. I plopped down on the couch in Niall's room, where I slept last night and curled into the pillows and blanket. Sleep is great.

I woke up to a loud crash, a spraying sound and numerous yells. "HOLY SHIT", "HOW THE FUCK WILL WE CLEAN THIS UP?" "GREAT!". I groaned and looked out the window noticing it was starting to get dark. How long was I asleep.

I sat up and was about to walk into the kitchen where the ruckus was coming from but realized I was still in the tissue paper. Except now it was all ripped and not covering appropriate places. I grabbed a used towel off the floor and wrapped it around myself as I migrated into the kitchen.

My eyes widened at the scene playing out in front of me.

Water was spewing out if the now broken faucet and getting all over everyone. Including Rissa. Who by the way was trying to get away from them but one of the boys was always in her way. 5, 4, 3 I counted down in my head when Clarissa finally managed to get away from the chaos around her and sprint to the bathroom. 2, 1. I finished as I heard the door slam shut and thud on the ground as Clarissa fell due to her tail.

"Who did it?" I asked placing my hand on my hip. All the boys turned to face me with their eyes wide and clothes soaked. They all pointed at each other.

I gave them my best glare. "It was Niall!" Harry blurted out as Liam slapped him on the back of the head. "Thanks mate" Niall muttered rubbing the back of his neck.

"You do know you're going to have to pay for the damage right? And if-" I stopped mid sentence as I heard the sound of rushing water coming the bathroom.

"Be right back" I spoke and darted to the bathroom. Only to see Rissa sitting in the tub. Filled with water. Tail and all. "What are you doing?!?" I asked waving my hands around. "Might as well wash up now" she exclaimed.

I almost lost my shit. "No you might as well not! The boys could walk in at any moment!" "They should know better than to enter without knocking" she explained examining her nails looking quite relaxed.

"Get. Out. Of. The. Tub." I spoke through gritted teeth. "Fineee" she dragged out and pulled her body out of the tub. She began to dry herself off.

Just as I reached over the tub Clarissa threw her wet towel back making it slap me and thrust me forward.

Landing me right in the tub, "Oh so you can take a bath but I can't? That is rude" she starting going off at me. "Just help me up dammit!" I exclaimed. She stood up on her legs which had just reappeared.

"Hey, are you guys ok in there?" I heard Zayn's voice call through the room.

"Yeah we're fine" I called back trying to pull myself out of the tub. "What was that crash?" He questioned. His voice was getting louder so I knew he was getting closer.

"Nothing I-I uh fell?" I stated but it came out more as a question. Finally I flopped out the tub. "Well I'm just gonna grab some shampoo so I hope you're decent" he spoke. The door knob wriggled and Rissa froze. "This is it Bri. It was nice knowing you. He's going to send us to Area 51 and were gonna get experimented on and die-"

Zayn's eyes pretty much popped out of his skull. "Wh-wh-wh-wh-BOYS!" he screamed. Right before he fainted. "Shit" Clarissa swore. "What is it Zay- Holy" "SHIT!" Harry started but Niall finished. "I guess the freaks do come out at night" Louis shrugged before he passed out too.
