Mark's P.O.V.

"John?"

I heard Laura say that name and first my stomach started to ache then my heart broke into a million pieces. I had heard about John. I have worked with Laura for two years. I heard the story. They were a perfect couple apparently, they went out for 3 years and had known each other for 5, then he broke her heart. She caught him kissing her best friend, he cheated on her. It took her 8 months to get over him and move on. She found a better best friend and forgot about him, but you could still tell there was pain in her eyes. She was never healed. She still HAS scars on her heart. She still loves him after he did her wrong! I overheard her talking with her new best friend not even a month ago. She is STILL in love with him. THAT is why I knew I NEVER had a shot. I could see the pain in her eyes and I heard her admit it. Why did he have to show up at her front door when everything was going perfect?? I kissed her, I saw her happy!!!

"Hey." John replied in a whisper. Are you kidding me? NO!

"What are you doing here?" Laura replied looking angry. She still looked adorable when she got angry, even in this situation, "I told you to never talk to me again, to forget about me, forget about us." YEAH!! You tell him!! At that moment they turned and looked at me. Did I say that out loud?? Oops! "MARK!!! Butt out! Here are my keys, please go inside and leave us to talk."

"Okay." I replied taking the keys and walking past John. "Just be... careful." I said right in John's ear and then added, quietly so Laura wouldn't hear, " And I don't mean Laura!" Then walked inside and watched through the peep hole.

"I have been thinking a lot and I'm sorry an-" John continued but Laura broke him off.

"SORRY?!? AFTER ALMOST 2 FREAKIN' YEARS?!?!? NOW YOUR SORRY???? NO! IF YOU JUST WANTED TO SAY SORRY, THEN YOU CAN LEAVE!!!!!! YOU LEFT ME HEARTBROKEN FOR 2 YEARS AND I'M STARTING TO BE HAPPY AGAIN AND YOU JUST GO AND RUIN IT!!!! GO AWAY!!!" Couldn't of said it better.

"Okay, maybe that wasn't the best way to start out...... please let me start again. I have been heartbroken as well for two years and I can't take it anymore!! PLEASE give me another chance! I can't stand life without you! I would rather die than spend one more second without you in my life! I want us to be more than friends, like we were before but if you wont allow that I would be fine with friends." What a coincidence!!!! I feel the EXACT SAME WAY about her!! I just got her!!!! UGH!!! "Fine! I will think about us being FRIENDS. But you need to show me you've changed." NOOOOOOO!!!!!! Laura how could you be sooooo STUPID!!!!!!!
