I normally got to school via bus, but my friend and I always say together and I wasn't in the mood for that, so I walked instead. I had managed to avoid everyone for the first part of the morning, but I forgot I had to sit next to Maria in third lesson. It was so awkward, she kept asking me why I was ignoring everyone, but I didn't have the strength to tell her. Instead, I just put on a fake smile and pretended everything was fine. Lesson finished after what seemed like a lifetime, but next up was lunch, and I didn't want to go to the canteen with everyone.
I walked out of lesson and saw Gemma waiting for me. She came up to me and asked if I was ok, I was going to tell her I was fine, but I had said that too much today and I just needed to let it all out.
"No I'm not ok! I wanted to go to the cinema with everyone but you all said you were busy, and when I went by myself, I saw you all there together!"
Gemma tried to explain, but I just ran crying to the toilets. I had lost all my friends, and there was nothing I could do to get them back.
