Reluctantly, i stepped through the doorway. It was beautiful...but as we passed through the door Jordann doubled over. He fell to his knees, screaming that they wouldn't leave him alone. I tried to calm him down, but still he rambled on. "I havent done anything to you. I never hurt you. Leave me alone. Leave me be. No! Stop!" His words faded as he let out a blood-curdling scream that echoed through my head. Watching him hurt, but i couldnt help him. I didnt know how. I tried to sooth him and tell him it would be okay, but it didnt work. As he screamed again, tears pouring from his eyes, i kissed him. The screaming stopped and for a second, i could feel the presence of nearly a hundred others. It was terrifying. The auras surrounding the area were nothing but pure evil.
...this is what was torturing him...
I pulled away and looked him in the eyes. "Are you okay?" He looked at me and it took a moment for him to regain his voice. "I-im fine. Lets get going, we dont want to waste anymore time." I nodded and we got up, walking further into the 'dimension of souls' as i called it.
It wasnt long before we reached a forest. Jordan hesitated and even though he tried to appear calm, i could tell he was scared. "Why dont we camp here for the night. We still need rest after all." As i spoke i realized what i said was an umderstatment. This realm took a tole on the body, no matter how strong you were easily wore down by simply walking. He shook his head and walked towards a hot spring that we had seen earlier that wasnt to far. "Walk with me. I dont want to camp to close to the forest." I nodded and followed.
When we arrived Jason began pulling his shirt off, and the sight....it terrified me. I rushed towards him. "Jordan, did they do this? Those things?" He seemed confused and then nodded. All down his back were law like gashes. Three wrings of blood wrapped themselves around his torso, a single line crawling from the base of his collarbone to the middle of his abdomen. "Its fine." He continued to undress and the more gashes there were. He flinched stepping into the warm water, he was in pain.
Out of the corner of my eye i saw a ghostly blue light. It stayed there, seeming to call me. "Ill be right back." I dont know if he heard me or not but i walked towards the entity. It lead me to a part of the forest where there were trees covered in what looked like gold veins and all kinds of fruit. It contined and as it passed by some of the feuit and leaves disappeared. It took me to a mirror and through it, i could see exactly what i had to do. I could see how to send him to the demonic realm where fires turn to ice. A close resemblance to Hell. But its where the man in the hotsprings belonged. He was no longer a part of my quest.
