A Reason to Stay

Flashback.

"Chloe wake up!" My best friend Louis says jumping on my bed.

"Go away Lou! It's 6 in the morning." I say in my morning voice.

"I have to tell you something. It's really important." He says and lays next to me on my bed. I open my eyes an sigh.

"Okay Louis what is so important that you had to come over at 6 in the morning and wake my ass up? You know I'm not a morning person." I say and put my head on his shoulder and we cuddle.

"You know how I've always wanted to audition for The X-Factor?" He asks.

"Yeah. What about it?"

"I'm auditioning for it next week!" He yells jumping up on my bed again.

Did he really just say that? I mean I'm really happy for him but I feel like my hearts been ripped out of my chest. Yes to answer your question I am in love with my best friend. I have been since we were kids.

I say the first thing that comes to mind.

"I'm so happy for you Lou bear." I say and give him a huge hug.

"Will you come with me to my audition pleassssseeeee Chlo bear?" Louis begs.

"Of course Lou I wouldn't miss it for the world." Louis gets loud again. "Louis shut it you're going to wake up Nate."

Nate is my older brother he has his own band called Fun. Yes the Nate Ruess is my older brother. We're 10 years apart but we're really close. I live with him since our parents died in a car accident when I was 10.

The Next Week.

Today is the day of Louis's X-Factor audition. And he's up next. He comes over to me and gives me a hug. I hug him back.

"Thank you so much for coming Chloe. I couldn't do this without you." He says.

"Would you two get married already." Lottie says.

"Lottie don't start we're just best friends." Louis says and thats like a bullet to my heart.

"Louis Tomlinson you're up." The director tells Louis.

"Good luck." I say and watch him go on stage and I stand backstage with his mum Jay, Lottie and his step dad watching the screen.

"So Louis what song are you going to sing for us?" Simon asks.

"I'm going to sing Hey There Delilah." Louis says and starts singing.

When he's done they all vote yes or no and every judge said yes. I run out on stage and give him a huge hug. He hugs me back.

"I did it Chloe. I did it." He says so happy. I'm so proud of him. "No matter what happens if I win this and become a huge star promise me we'll always be best friends." He says.

"Forever and always Louis me and you." I say.

End of Flashback.

Three Years Later.

Chloe's POV now age 21

My best friend is the world famous Louis Tomlinson dating Eleanor Calder. They've been together since X-Factor it's 3 in the morning and I can't sleep. My cell goes off. I don't bother looking at who it is.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Chloe I'm so glad you're awake." It's Louis and I can tell he's been crying.

"Lou what's wrong?" I ask him worried.

"I caught Eleanor cheating on me. Please come to London and stay with me for the summer." He asks.

"Of course Louis just let me tell Nate in the morning and I'll catch the afternoon flight to London." I tell him already on my computer booking a flight at 12:30 tomorrow afternoon.

"Thanks Chlo bear. Love you see you soon."

"Love you too Lou. Get some sleep." I say.

"I will. Bye." He says.

"Bye." I say and we hang up.

Some how I manage to fall asleep after talking to Louis.
