Chapter One

Demi-Louise was sprawled out in the middle of Harry’s bedroom floor, her other five friends lounging elsewhere in the large room. “I’m hungry!” Lauren complained, shoving her foot into Harry’s side. “Harry make me food!” she demanded. Harry turned to face her with a ‘bitch please’ expression on his face. “I was not brought into this earth to serve your every need. Get your lazy ass off my bed and make your own damn food.” he replied lazily, his head leaning on Hannah’s tummy. He then continued to read the Draco fan fiction he saved on his phone, a content smile on his face.

Phoebe shook her head at the two, turning up Kerrang because My Chemical Romance had just come on. Georgie grinned, singing along to Famous Last Words without a care in the world.

Demi groaned from her position on the floor. “How about we solve this by ordering Chinese food?” she asked, getting up and snatching Harry’s phone out of his hand. “Excuse me, I was reading on that you slut.” Harry replied dryly. Demi shrugged, typing in the number for the local Chinese and ordering mass amounts of food for everyone, then handing back the phone to Harry who gratefully grabbed it, but not before kicking her in the butt as she walked away. “That’s for taking my phone when in was in the middle of a fan fiction!” he replied, frowning at her.

The doorbell rang, causing everyone to stop and raise an eyebrow. Lauren sat up, a confused look on her face. “But Demi just ordered the Chinese; it couldn’t be here that soon…” she said, voicing what everyone was thinking. Harry sighed, “But I really could not be bothered walking the whole way down the stairs to get the door.” he complained, turning to Demi with puppy eyes. Demi rolled her eyes, getting up from her position on the floor. “Laure you’re coming with me.” she told the other girl, who shrugged and ungracefully jumped off the bed, stumbling slightly. She never had much coordination.

Demi walked down the stairs soundlessly, her petite frame quite graceful. Lauren however, stomped down the stairs. Despite her slim frame she made a lot of noise. Demi chuckled as Lauren tripped on the last step, falling against the wall. “Only you Lauren!” she said, laughing as she helped her friend gain her balance. Lauren smirked, “I’m skilled, don’t get too jealous.” she winked as both of them walked towards Harry’s front door. Demi rolled her eyes and opened the door, curious to find out who it was. Standing in the doorway was an old Chinese man, dressed in traditional Chinese clothing and carrying a large delivery bag bursting with food. He smiled at the girls. “Hello, you order food, yes?” he asked them, a smile on his ageless face. Demi raised an eyebrow at Lauren but otherwise nodded, flashing a smile at the old man. “Yes, thank you! How much will that be?” she asked. The old man chuckled, waving his hand, “You get it for free, for being nice young girls!” He told them, handing the bag to Lauren and waving. “I see you later, enjoy food!” he bid them farewell and left the front porch, disappearing down the long driveway. Demi turned to Lauren, completely confused. “Did we seriously just get a Chinese for free?” she asked flabbergasted. Lauren shrugged, carefree as usual. “Free food, let’s go eat!” she said and then skipped into the kitchen, yelling at the others to get their asses downstairs.

Demi stared at the open door for a second before closing it and heading into the large kitchen. They all lived in London, in one of the more wealthier neighbourhoods, in a row of large town houses built beside each other. Although they were hardly your typical rich kids, none of them exactly had class.

As she entered the kitchen she found that everybody was already downstairs. Georgie smiled at her from behind Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Harry was handing everyone a fortune cookie and telling everyone to open them at the same time. Georgie rolled her eyes but did so anyway, leaving the book open on the very first page as she was handed a cookie.

Harry grinned at his friends. “Okay so on the count of three we all open them!” he commanded. “1...2...3!” he said and everyone opened their cookie, curious to know what the fortune inside said.

Hannah stared at her fortune confused. She looked over Phoebe’s shoulder and discovered that they both had exactly the same one. “You will visit the place you seek the most” she read aloud. Everyone in the room had turned to give her confused stares. “That’s what mine says…” Harry told her, his sassiness gone for once and instead replaced with confusion.

The room began to feel as though gail-force winds were rushing through it but outside remained still. Everyone turned to face the source of suction to find that Georgie’s book appeared to be pulling them in. “WHAT’S HAPPENING?” Demi yelled, grabbing onto Lauren and Harry as they were closest to her. “I don’t know!” Hannah replied, holding onto the counter in the hopes that she would remain in place. But it was too late, with one final gust of wind, they all flew towards the book, falling through the pages and into the place the seeked the most. Hogwarts.
