Elliot Novak watched as the delivery truck unloaded the last of his stuff.His mother was standing next to him,smiling.His sister,Evelyn,moved straight in to Davenchille College dorms after saying her farewells.Their father was inside assembling some new chairs.
Elliot was to start school at Fashinne High the next day.
"Elliot,baby..go pick a room."his mother said in a very calm tone.Elliot nodded and went into the 3-storey house.He found a room with large windows,but it was too bright.Then he found another room with no windows at all-it was too stuffy.He went to the attic,which had a medium sized window and a fresh coat of dark green paint.Elliot realized that this room was very suitable to his likings-so he began to unpack there.His father would come in now and then to adjust a few wires.After Elliot was done settling in,he took a step back and admired his work.One out of three of the delivery trucks had gotten lost,so for now he had a sleeping bag on the floor,a light blue bedside table with a flashlight on it,a trunk in which he kept all his toys and spare things,a light pink basket for storing his clothes,and a little corner desk with a spinny chair.Elliot lay on his sleeping bag,wondering about tomorrow...
