Topic: Happy birthday, super-fun-awesome-lovely-besty Mik!
I know. The note was cheesy. Mega cheesy. He, uh, said no anyway :(. He ditched me to be with my best friend, Nay, of three and a half years. And to think that was my neatest handwriting! I gave him Heart Sweets with that note for cripe's sake! >:(
Back in Gr 6, him and I shared so many memories, him being headstrong forgetting all of them. Heck, at one point last year he gave me a kiss on the cheek. The next Mon was his birthday and me deciding to be 'smooth' said, "I think I already gave you your present last week Friday," and attempted to wiggle my my eyebrows. He leaned in and asked, "What did you give me?" I gave him the 'Bruh' face and said never mind.
Now this year it's just awkward for us since it's the start of Gr 8 and Nay is still 'dating' him and Tani, my other besty, is 'dating' his best friend. By the way, his name happens to be Nick. Hmm, Nay, Nick...both their names start with Ns...maybe they were meant to be...
Anyway, like the three of them, Tania, Nick and Jordan's (Tania's, er, bf) school is close to Nay and I's school, so ya.
I'm always the third, no, fifth wheel whenever we hang out at Rosebank Mall. Mik's to busy with Gareth anyway. Seth's far away in Sacred Heart, Andrew and Dave doing some hardcore working out at Partown Boys. Thorin, where are you?
Anyway, present time, Nay and Nick are flirting in front of me on the benches at Parktown Girls while I try to write in my diary. Hey, it's hard when he constantly looks at me with that twinkle in his big, brown eyes:/ I feel uncomfortable so I say I need to go to the toilet. I walk down a set of stairs, turn and walk down another and reach the bathroom.
Then the most unlikely person to come out of the males' toilet walks out.
