Escape

The lights went out, and I was scared they were going to come again, the black and blue bruises painted my face and body as a reminder of what happened earlier, the door squealed open and I fled to the corner whimpering in fear " come on " a hand grabbed me and pulled me out " p-please d-don't " I cried but the grip tightened " I'm not gonna hurt you and they won't ever again " I looked to the black haired girl with eyes that held so much pain " who are you " I whispered " something that's not supposed to exist, like you " she knows about me? " hey where do you think you're going ?" A voice chuckled behind us " we're leaving, I dare you to stop us " the girl growled standing in front of me and glared at the monster of a man standing before us, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the thing that haunts me day and night " NOO " I yelped cowering to the ground, the most painful thing about an electric whip was the scars it left " try something " she growled standing tall " don't please it'll hurt you worse " i whimpered pulling her down " I won't let them hurt us again " she stood again and ran at the man " run Rika " she yelped tackling the man who was without a doubt going to win, I stood but didn't run, I can't leave her, her blood curdling screams pierced the air as he pinned her down and lashed at her " please run Rika, I'll be fine " she growled before receiving another lashing " NOO you saved me-" " just run dammit !" She snapped begging me I turned and started sprinting down the hall, I could hear someone chasing me so I shifted turning into the only creature I can with speed, " wolf " a voice exclaimed as I dropped on all fours, I didn't hesitate I darted straight for the door but another man was standing in my way " so you finally decided to show us what you really are, a wolf but also something else care to let us know ?" He grinned a cold smile as he pulled out his whip " don't let it escape " the man behind me growled, I've never stayed as a wolf before, I've only ever shifted once by accident at the orphanage and that's why I ended up here, i snarled instead of cowering but before I could do anything I sat down and glared at them, the two men laughed but when they fell obediently to their knees they started shouting " you bitch how dare you !" I stood and swirled around them growling " where is she " I said through my thoughts but I found out a while ago that if I do this they can hear me somehow " somewhere not even you can get to now " he smiled but I snapped, finally holding power over the ones who tortured me " hey over here " a few muffled voices came into range " what's the numbers for the door " I stared expectantly at one man "
4496 " he drooled I didn't have time to shift again so I used my nails to punch in the numbers and for the first time in 10 years I smelled fresh air when I bolted out the door.
They ran after me and I could see the  gun they were carrying, to knock me out if they find me but never again will I let them, I ran for miles dodging them and avoiding other humans but after a few hours i ditched them and found a quiet spot to lay down and rest, I can't shift until I find some clothes because I shredded the other ones so I curled up beside a skip and let my eyes wander, there were people going about their daily meaningless lives talking and laughing about things they've done or are going to do, I watched them pass me by unable to see me but I could see them, after a while I finally dosed off dreaming about the black haired girl who for some reason saved me.
I woke up to the sound of a growl "  you've got some nerve shifting and staying a wolf in broad daylight " a voice snarled, I opened my reddish brown and lavender mismatched eyes and seen four men in their thirties glowering over me " I'm sorry I'm new to this " i thought but I don't know if they can hear my thoughts " that's no excuse, if we have to hide it then so do you " their wolves too? I stood up and stretched before backing away from them " where's your pact ?" One growled letting his autumn eyes come to life " my what ?" I've never had a chance at education so I don't know much, only the basics but I'm a good learner " your pact, what are you stupid ?" He spat " no I don't know what you mean " they all looked at each other  " a wolf cub with no pact and very little know how, sounds suspicious to me how about you " he looked to the others but he doesn't realise I'm not just a wolf, I'm some other creature to I can make my teeth sharper and my eyes go the same colour as blood, I never had energy unless I bit or touched the people at the um I don't know what that place was called but I don't want to either " where are you from" , he walked to me and grabbed me by the neck causing me to yelp, Im quite small so I'm light but it still hurt " I don't know " I thought " answer me " he growled i whimpered powerless against him, he threw me against the skip and I squealed hitting the side really rough, I landed hard on the ground and I could smell blood, I looked to see my leg stabbed with glass without thinking I felt my eyes change colour and my already sharp teeth grew longer " a wolf hybrid " one man spat finally dropping to the ground on all fours, he was a large wolf with an impressive jaw of teeth " no don't " the man who has to be the leader growled, the wolf snarled but obeyed him sitting down " just what are you " he grabbed me again and shook me " I yelped like the frightened puppy I was " shut up you're gonna draw attention " he spat clamping his hand around my muzzle " please " I whimper-thought, a cold smile creeped onto his face but before he did anything, an excited laugh interrupted us from behind " a wolf turning on its own kind how comical " a blonde boy about my age giggled, he looked at me with icy deep blue eyes and a humoured smile " stay out of this vampire " the man snapped turning his attention to me again, what's a vampire ? He squeezed my snout causing me to squeal in pain, I escaped that place only to receive more pain out here " tell me why are you torturing one of your own kind, and of all things, a pup ?" The blonde glanced to me again but this time his eyes held hope " she's nothing other than a mistake so why should she live ?" The blondes eyes turned the blood red my eyes did and his teeth sharpened, he's like me?! " she's still a living creature " the man laughed coldly before once again flinging me at the skip, I hit it and fell to the ground, I could only make out bits and pieces of what were happening then, more people dropped out of nowhere and a fight began between between the two sides, I could feel I had broken some bones but with them distracted I limp-ran away from the scene.
    It started snowing and it wasn't long before everything around me was white, I was lost now, I was still near the town but on the outskirts, my leg was swollen and badly bleeding so I stole a rag looking dress from a small line hanging outside a house and shifted changing into it, it didn't help the bleeding but I could move faster, I walked for what seemed like ages until my leg gave out on me and I landed in the snow, I couldn't move, I was freezing and had lost a lot of blood, my head started spinning as I dropped my head, the last thing I remember before passing out was a large gate to my right leading up to a huge building.
