The Sun kept gleaming at my face,
My teary eyes masked with shades,
Trembling lips and the shiver down my spine,
I was the night sky without stars,
A pour of rain from the dark grey clouds,
I was a black and white grained picture.

Cars flying past by the yellow streetlights,
Traffic lights, busy horns and the screeches,
All up in crashes and burning fire,
That was the state of my heart,
Feelings turning white to black
As I desperately pleaded to have a rainbow.

Homes made and broken through a catastrophe,
As lives dwindled and twirled out of its axis,
Wars waged within me,
Tore the written pages of my heart,
But I fought it with all my might,
There were parts of me stolen
And I learned to live with my flaws
Now The sun gleams on my perfectly flawed skin
I am a silhouette of a dreamer,
Darkness falls upon my light,
As I become black and white.
