Chapter 1

Aubrey was going out with Byron Marshall. They met via her elder brother, they were best friends. He was so much older that her; Aubrey was 17 and Byron 25. When Byron asked her out, she was still getting over her previous boyfriend. Aubrey always said that he did not really love Byron and that it was just for her a way to move on...I thought it was unfair, like everybody. Byron was a nice guy and even though he was older, they were a nice couple. Aubrey kept on wishing her ex would come back to her but he was already over Aubrey with his new girlfriend. But with time, Aubrey  learnt to love every single inch of that guy and she actually fell head over heels for him in only three months. Oh and Aubrey is my cousin, her mother and mine are cousins. We always met and I was the first one to know about her relationship with Byron.

Abbey was the star, she liked to be in the spotlight and her best-friend had always been Natasha since long. I do not understand why in public she showed herself not what she really is. We knew how she was; she was shy and kind but showed herself-especially with boys- to be provocative. She had had tons of boyfriend and Natasha was not really glad about that part of her. Natasha was very caring and she was not judgmental, you can be completely free with her, she'll never judge you. Abbey was really pretty without all her makeup and I was the one to always tell her that but I never admitted that she also made me feel bad about myself. I always thought about the reason why she is like that with the people that isn't us or her family but I couldn't find anything but the fact that she hides what she is behind all her makeup, what else?

Though Yale was not our super friend at first, she became a freaking good one. She was in the same class as Zoe and Nancy. Yale have many friends but then suddenly she began to hang out with us. She made us do things that we would never have done before, at least me. I was very shy and always abide by laws, though I break them sometimes, I rarely do stupid things and I was not so keen on adventures or all the actions. Yale made me say my thoughts aloud and to express myself. She changed each one of us in some ways. Yale had had some boyfriends to whom she never got really close with; she just hanged out until she met Matt. She was in love with him and everybody in the school knew that they were together; actually Yale was quite popular and everybody liked her and the one who don't, she doesn't like her in turn, same same!

Zoe and Nancy were my two best friends. Zoe was very very very very shy, she blushed for nothing. Since she moved to her new house, she fell in love with Samuel and never got over him. Samuel was very mysterious and much less sociable than his brother, Byron. If he goes out, it was only to go to school or hang out with his few friends (unusual for a guy to have only 3 friends. Boys usually make friends with any guy that they get acquainted with). Zoe caught rarely his attention and once her family invited them on a dinner, he did not speak unless someone talked to him (I was also invited). He was very different and I bet he ever had a girlfriend in his life. Nancy, apart from reading, is always learning. She is rarely happy and always grumpy. She was quite moody but Zoe and I got used to it. When we asked her if she want to go out after school somewhere she always says:" No, I gotta finish this book" or" I have homework to do". And the weirdest thing is that she got the same amount of homework like Zoe, who always does her homework. But we are used to her now. Zoe is the one that connects me and Nancy, but I really like Nancy and all her grumpiness above all, actually we all love her like that. Don't ever change Nancy!

I try to be friends with everyone, I don't like to keep enmities but somewhat I never liked Sabrina. There were some girls also that I never liked but she was on top of all, always. Since primary school we were together and we never liked each other, I never did something particularly to her neither did she but we never knew why we never could not smell each other (and I would learn it sooner than I ever thought) Sabrina Jacobs was beautiful, intelligent and the teacher's favorite. She thought she could have it all and have any guy that she wanted to. Yale and Zoe disliked her as much as I did and they also did not know why.

That was a brief summary on some persons that made up my world at 17. Through all these times in high school, my life will change forever, some things would be irreversible, things I never wanted to happen will, the worst for me will come. This is my story and how I got through...
