Sorry I haven't updated, I've been busy. BUT imma give you a double update bc I'm awesome like that and I seek your forgiveness. ENOUGH with the sappy ness. This is a bit of a short chapter, but oh well. Oh. That's the outfit she's wearing up above except with brown sandals and no purse. ANYWAYS....I hope you enjoy.
Lexi's POV
*continues flashback*
It's been about 10 minutes of me walking Mace, which I'm fine with because I need it. She's a husky with one blue eye and one brown eye. She also REALLY small. She looks like a 6 month puppy, but she's 5 years old. She's a tiny little thing, but she's been through everything with me - EVERYTHING. All my breakups, deaths in the family, even my friends. I've had her since she was only 2 months.
Anyways, we've just walked into Starbucks, ordered a medium Java Chip Frap and sat down, considering its 6:15 a.m , and no ones here, we sat anywhere. I've been here for about 5 minutes when the door opens, which causes me to look bc it's 6:20 in the morning, and nobody's normally here this early. I can't make out who it is, except that she's a girl because her back is facing me. Suddenly Mace barks, runs to her, jumps in her arms, and licks her face. The girl started laughing and pet Mace. Now it's clear to me who it is.

I'm getting sooooooo impatient with this book. It SUCKS in the beginning, but if you just hang in there till about Chapter 5, I promise you, it'll be worth it.
