It was raining that night, gloomy and dark and Nagasaki sat silent, waiting for the rain to pass thinking that after they would face the bright sunlight and a new day. Two young lovers, one sat in wait, the other waiting to ask. A gossip woman, chatting to her best friend. A grandmother, on the edge of death. People all over the town of Nagasaki and all in their daily life that they should have been more grateful for.

Two hours away, a plane called Enola Gray flew easily above the clouds. George W. Marquardt, the pilot, felt no guilt. They had bombed our country and now they too would feel the pain of loss.

Enola Gray, the avenger of Americans. Sworn to destroy the Japanese, bomber of Nagasaki. It was lucky Enola Gray felt no emotion, as the metal plane flew closer and closer to the place where it would become a murderer.
