I'm sitting at the lunch table with my friends. Josha, Ian, and Kennedy. Josha and I were having a playful conversation about the bulls game. And between the stubborn josha thomas and me...well...i was winning this debate.
"I'm telling you! The bulls would have won; if they hadn't of called that foul!"I debated in triumph.
"Whatever, you win..." she murmured.Taking another sip of her juice.
All of a sudden i hear loud yelp. It sounded... man like. To the far side of the cafeteria. There stands Tony Stark & Steve Rogers with their arms crossed over their chests. Steve looked rather cranky & annoyed. Tony on the other hand... pretended to look mad. But really he was just trying to look heroic. Steve marched over to my table. His brows were narrowed at me. Tony stood behind Steve with his arms still crossed. I frowned instantly. Oh great, these two... "
"Shane maxis stark! Where have you been?!" Steve barked. I shallowed hard. I trembled a bit at Steve's voice. Icould tell he wasn't messing around anymore.
"School..." i said with my voice still shaking. Tony's eyes softened at me. Then his face quickly scrunched up again. Tony hit steve's arm sharply.
"Ow, Tony! What are you doing?!" Steve screamed.
"Steve...can't you see she's scared of you?" Tony buzzed calmly.
Steve's face softened. He examined me slowly. He bent down and lifted up my chin. I'm still shaking a little. His royal blue eyes were passively following mine. When he grasped the thought of me being frightened. He pulled back slightly. His face seemed awakened and petrified. His eyes were shaking cold. Tony pulled Steve back in the same postion as before. Steve looked at Tony, eyes wide open. Then he looked back at me with eyes of sincerity.
No one else at the table said a word.They all just stared...at me. Now, I don't know about you...but I HATE it when people stare at me. I can't stand it...
Steve sighed. "Look shane...I'm sorry for earlier...but you need to home with us."
"Why should I?" I spoke with a sneer and a hint of panic. Tony stepped in front of Steve. His face went soft.
"Because we are your parents...and we both love you. And we heed you home." Tony sounded soothing to me. I loved Tony's voice. It could be flexible and firm at the same. I looked at him softly. Then I sighed lightly. I got up from the table. I walked up to Tony. I stepped a little closer to his chest. Then I hung my head low.
"Dad, I-" before I could finish, Tony had pulled me into a buried hug. Everyone looked in awe. To be honset...so was I. Tony wasn't the most heartwarming person ever. So the sudden burst of affection surpised me. I heard a few sobs from him. Now, i was really surpised. Not only has he been affectionnate but rather emotional as well. He hugged me closer. his arc reactor shined a little bit brighter.
"I missed you...Shane...i just want my daughter back...me and steve love you and we want you back, okay?" he said between sobs. I pulled away slowly. His were red and watery. I felt horrible for leaving. I left because of steve. I really missed tony though.
Tony was somewhat compassionate as a person. Steve only cared for my grades and my brain. Not my feelings. Steve always stressed me out. Tony worried like crazy. They hardly ever fought. The household was peaceful...if i did what i was told...I missed tony...I just need to get past steve...
"Okay dad, I'll come home..."
I had never seen Tony smile so wide.
