We rush over to Mabel's cage, Soos blows the lock off with his machine gun.
"Ka-boom! Welcome back dude!" Laughs Soos.
Mabel comes out of the cage looking really tired.
"Remind me never to date a vampire again." She says.
⠀
We walk downstairs and outside to where I kicked the Vampire Queen off the roof, but she's no where to be seen.
"Don't worry about her." Mabel says. "She's probably just humiliated you beat her."
We hear loud music, and walk over to the ballroom, it's a wreck, the lights have come back on since the Vampires left, and the security guards are awake again, cleaning up the mess that remains.
⠀
"May I have this dance?" Asks Dipper.
I laugh, "Not exactly the most romantic place, but okay."
We dance through the wreckage, I'm so tired, our attempt to throw a party was a catastrophe.
"What are we supposed to do." I say softly.
"What do you mean?" Asks Dipper.
"We're never gonna be safe, there's always another threat in this town."
"Pacifica." Says Dipper. "That's what makes it so fantastic."
⠀
We dance for ages, until our feet are sore.
"I love you." I tell Dipper.
"You do?" He smiles although he already knows.
"Always." I say. "And always means forever."
