Chapter 1

'But Lil. Nobody wants a 14 year old!'

'Yes they do Una. There is somebody out there for both of us!' It was adoption day. I had been here for roughly 27 adoption days and they never pick me. Today was just another day where I would be rejected. Miss Stone called us all into the day room.

'As all of you know, it's adoption day. This one will be slightly different as there are a lot of couples coming. All of you will be paired up and these couples will be seeing both of you at a time. In the film room I have set up some groups of chairs. you will be put at some chairs and each couple will have 5 minutes in each group. GO!' Everyone stood up and ran over to their partner. Obviously I paired up with Lily but this time I had no hope. I knew what was going to happen. I was going to be rejected like all of the other times. Me and Lily walked over to a set of chairs and sat down. While we were waiting I pulled out my phone and scrolled though twitter.

@Pointlessblog: No daily vlog today guys as me and @zozeebo are doing something very special.

@zozeebo: no video tonight. doing something special with @Pointlessblog. can't wait!

I wonder what they're doing? They have been doing this lately. Just randomly doing something special. I show Lily p she squeals with excitement. 'Children!' Miss Stone calls over the voices. 'The couples are here!' The couples walk in and sit at random groups. I don't bother watching the couples walk in but Lily does.

'O.M.G! UNA LOOK LOOK LOOOOOOK!' I sigh and turn around to see Zalfie walk through the door. I quickly turn back around and start hyperventilating.

'Lily turn around! They'll get to us. I hope.'

'Una aren't you excited? We've just seen our idols walk though the door!' The thing is, when I get this excited I don't show it on the outside. If I do I am likely to have a panic attack. I start thinking about the bad things that could happen and they fill my brain with worry.

'Of course I am Lil. But we wouldn't have a chance with them if we fangirl.' In all honesty I wasn't completely lying. They wouldn't adopt us if we were fangirling but I didn't want to tell her the truth. I didn't want Lily knowing that her best friend had anxiety. I didn't want anybody knowing.

'Oh yeah.' She said with a cheesy grin on her face. Soon enough the first couple came to us.

We had seen about 4 couples so far and none of them seemed interested. They all just walked off with the same expression as they came with. I was shook out of my daze by Lily. 'Una! Quick they're coming!!!!!' I looked around to see who she was talking about. I suddenly saw Zalfie walking towards us.

'Hello girls.' Zoe asked while taking a seat in front of us. Alfie doing the same. 'What's your names?'

'Well. I'm Lily and this is Una.' Lily suddenly spoke.

'Nice to meet you girls. I'm Zo...' She was then cut off by Lily.

'We know! We love you two.' She grinned. Zalfie looked at each other.

'S-sorry about Lilly.' I said giving Lily a death stare. 'She's just over excited. It's her first adoption day.' We sat talking to Zalfie before they rung the bell for the next couple. We said our goodbye and they left. Instead of going to the next pair, Zoe and Alfie walked over to Miss Stone. Miss Stone then nodded and waved them off.

Lily's POV

After meeting all of the couples, Miss Stone took down all of their picks before lining us all up after they had all left. She then started calling out the names of the children who the couples had picked. 'Michael, Josh, Suzie, Connor, Alex, Lucy, Chantelle, Evie and Una.' I suddenly felt a tear falling down my cheek.

'Lily I got picked!!!!! I got picked!!...' Then her face dropped. 'I'm so sorry.' I was about to reply when Miss Stone called them into her office. I ran upstairs and flopped onto my bed before bursting into tears. What did I do wrong?
