Warnings: Gay Basketball Boys - Trans Boy
Main Pairing: AkaKuro
Series: Kuroko no Basket
Time Period: Teikou Age, year oneKuroko Tetsuya wasn't like most teenagers out there. For one, he had an extremely low presence, it was so low that no one even knew he was there most of the time. Another thing is that normal teenagers don't get thrown out onto the streets to fend for themselves at the age of 11. That being said, Kuroko wasn't really sure how someone of his status, and age, got into a private school such as Teikou. He was, after all, supposed to still be in primary school. Maybe the forms got mixed up and jumbled? Yeah, probably. His grandparents never really cared about his well being, anyways. Not after they found out what he thought of himself.
His new home was the nearby orphanage that Kuroko liked to help out now and then, despite his young age. Now he could help out all the time, though it's not as if anyone really noticed him. He has been at the orphanage for a few weeks now and the orphanage was in trouble. Kuroko couldn't even help with this because school was just around the corner.
To be more specific, it was the day of tomorrow.
The orphan caretaker estimated that they'd only be able to keep it open for about two months. She said that it would take a miracle for them to not close down for good. The pale boy didn't like watching the kind caretaker filled with such sadness. He wanted to help her, but what could he do?
After all, he had his own secrets and problems to take care of. Oh how he had so many problems at the young age he's in.

Kuroko woke up very early the next day. When he looked at the time, it was four A.M, an hour before he had to actually wake up.
'Might as well get ready now. I can't risk being late on the first day,' he thought. He grabbed the things he needed to get ready for the day and did what he needed to do in the restroom. He didn't bother taking a shower, as it would alert everyone and use up the water money. Besides, he had already taken one the previous night. Some people don't take a bath until a week after the last one they had. He looked at his reflection in the mirror. He was glad that he didn't have much to show yet, but still took the precaution of binding a bit. He was a boy. No one can tell him differently.
He took a breath and proceeded back to his room, packing what he needed for school. He had heard a lot about that school and wanted to be prepared for every little thing that could happen. After making sure he had everything, he looked to the time. 4:18 A.M. He decided that now would be a just as good time to leave. He walked out of the room to find the caretaker to inform her that he'd be leaving. Wandering around, he found himself in her office, staring at the sleeping caretaker who was previously filling out an abundance of papers. With a sigh, the blue haired boy took a spare blanket from the closet and draped it around her, then proceeded to write her a note that stated that he had left to go to school. It was a thirty minute walk, roughly twenty six if he ran. He hoped it didn't wash him out too much as he still needed to join the basketball club.
So much to do, and yet so little time to do so. Kuroko Tetsuya had a feeling that he'd have an interesting school year, but had no idea why.

It was currently lunch time. The bell had rung a few seconds ago, signalling that class was over. Instantly after the teacher dismissed them, students talked, rather loudly, to their friends. Most girls talked about how cute some boys were. Kuroko decided to spend the time in the library, free from all the loud noises whether it be from the chattering amongst students or the keys of a keyboard, typing away. Once in the library, he sighed at the sight. It appears that the library was full and alive with students.
'So much for wanting a silent lunch period in the library,' Kuroko thought. He was making his way out of the room when he bumped into a person. He flinched, keeping his head down, waiting for the words to scream out, but it never came. When he looked up, an elegant, red haired teen was staring right at him. This stranger could actually *see* him!
"Ah... Sorry. I wasn't paying attention," he apologized, bowing a bit, getting out of his initial shock.
"No... It's alright," the latter assured. "I suppose I wasn't paying attention, either." The red gaze stared into his eyes, as if he was expecting something else, as if he knew him from somewhere but cannot pinpoint where he's from.
"My name is Akashi Seijuro. And you?"
"Kuroko," he replied, albeit rather quickly. Mentally cursing at himself for seeming too eager, he paused, slowing down his mind and speech. "Kuroko Tetsu... Tetsuya."He chewed the inside of his cheek. Why did he stumble over his name? He had said it multiple times to people without a problem, but he stumbled. The stranger would definitely pick up something, now.
"I see... Well, Tetsuya, it's been a pleasure meeting you. Let's meet again, soon," he smiled. There was no warmth in it, not even a trace of emotion. It was only cold, only given to not seem rude. It made Kuroko feel unwelcomed. Fazed, Kuroko could only repeat what he had heard as he watched the red headed teen walk away, into the loud, oddly overcrowded library.
"Yes... Let's meet again."
Oh, yes. This would definitely be an interesting school year for Kuroko Tetsuya.
