Sinister Beginnings

If the raging storm was any indicator,  tonight was going to be an interesting night. 

She slid out of her blood-red Audi A8 and glanced around at her surroundings, five years later and Radcliff Virginia was the same old place. Mansions lined the streets as the expensive cars lined the driveways.  Radcliff was the place where the rich got richer and if you were an unfortunate poor little girl, well then you just suffered.  The house at the end of the street caught her eye. The Wardens lived there. The richest most powerful family. The founding family was what they were called. Along their right, lived George Warden's brother and his family. Equally rich if not more so.

Both houses laid side by side, a testament of power. Initially, as a little girl, Arianna Wellington used to watch the big mansions with longing in her eyes, wondering what it would be like to grow up in a house like that. 

But now she glared at the houses with an air of vengeance, anger and hatred rolled off of her in waves. Her breathing spiked a second before she got it down under control again. Getting angry didn't get you anywhere, but a well-planned storm of vengeance did. And it was about to come pouring down on the Wardens, both families. 

Arianna watched as a few expensive cars and trucks pulled on to the two driveways. It was the annual Sunday dinners at the Wardens. Both families came together on a weekly basis to have dinner as a family.  Everyone was to come. And to top it all off, There was a wedding this week. One of the prominent Warden sons was getting married to a lovely looking brunette.  

The cousin of Logan Warden, Bryan Warden. A typical womanizer with a penchant for the ugly things in life. A pervert who enjoyed the pain he inflicted on others, after all why have a limit when daddy's money got you anything you wanted.

Logan, on the other hand, was the teen heartthrob, the golden boy of the town. Arianna's teenage crush, too bad he was no better than his cousins. After all, why pick a stranger over the family. But Arianna was about to teach them all that family could be your downfall, and power is as much your friend as it is your enemy.
