Jessa's P.o.V.

I wince at the sharp pain at my side. I look down at my arm and see the many lines streaming out of my arm. I grab at them and take them out. I grimace at the sharp cuts going through my arm and wipe away the tiny pools of blood. and lift up the horrid gown and see a bandage. I take it off and use tweezers to remove the bullet and it's casing. Suddenly, memories start to float back into my mind. I remember Ty helping me. I look around the white walled, floored, and ceiling room and stand up, patching on a new gauze. I shuffle to the door after changing and open the door. I make sure no one notices me and I jog out of the hospital the best I can. I walk to the house, a little over 6 miles walking and find my car. I dig for my keys and notice that they were still on the concrete pavement. I bend down and grip them inside my tiny hands, and unlock the door. I get in and egnite the car. I press the butt warmer button and blow and rub my hands together, desparate for warmth. I put the car into gear and drive home. I hop in the shower. I change into a giant sweatshirt and shorts and stumble to my bed. I grab my phone from its charging port and check the time. It's 9:30 and I have 4 hours until the competition. I decide to pack up more than I already have. I start packing clothes, books, and shoes. I tape the boxes closed and shove them to the corner. I decide to take down the t.v. and and cable box. I store them inside a styrofoam case and put them inside a bigger box. I change into my gym uniform and put on the warm-up that I bought 4 years ago. I pack my gym backpack with my stiffs, my hand blocks, and chalk box. I pull my hair back into a braided pony tail. I walk out the door and lock it behind me. I hustle to my car and grab a vegan breakfast. I drive to the gym and get on the bus, while finishing up my breakfast. I sit next Jasmyn and she just stares. "Aren't you supposed to be in the hospital?" She half yells, half whispers. I just give a toothy grin and nod, acting like she just asked me something funny. I show her where I dug out the bullet and how the skin already kinda patched itself. She just silently gaped and had a unsure look in her misty blue eyes. I just wave her off and put an ear bud in both of our ears. I play I See Fire by Ed Sheeran and move my hands to the beat. I hum to the lyrics and just smile as we go to the competition.
