Where I'm from, they glorify it. They turned it into the top status of our hierarchy. Anybody who finds themselves falling under this title at any moment in their lives, or is born to a family where it's almost inevitable(until proven false), is fed and pampered to high heavens. Fan clubs began bubbling up for the best of the best. Fifty-two years ago was when the first one made itself known, slinging their nearly-slain enemies over their shoulders and offering the gasping, begging bodies off to their idols where the number forced there were finally put to rest at the hands of grueling, evil monsters. In a world of only three types of people, the labels were bound to be given at one point. Some sooner than others.

You could be a slayer- the god of this world looked just like a human, but they were far better. They were either born into fortunate bloodlines or rose up from nowhere. The job of these men and women was to train and kill the creatures that tainted the earth with murder and chaos; the vampires. One could easily be killed for trying to belittle a vampire slayer. They were the creator of all things good, all things pure.

You could be a human- a sack of skin, bones and blood. Great for gossiping, worshiping the first class of this world, and spitting on the fanged ones. Other than that, they have invented some amazing things, and come up with an alternative to eating dirt for your breakfast.

You could be a vampire- the embodiment of a nightmare. How these 'things' must be so looming and scary. A creation of all things evil that preyed on both humans and vampire slayers was the third class of the world. They looked just like anybody else, which was the terrifying part of it all...they could be right next to you. Only at certain moments would those fangs appear, and you would never live to tell the tale...unless a savior showed up. Vampires were quick, cunning, and a nuisance to everybody that met them.

It's not as terrible as it seems, Taehyung would wholeheartedly promise. It's also not as special as the movies make it seem. They're created at birth, and it's unavoidable. If one of your parents is a vampire, you'll be a vampire. But there are a few things that are special about them. They don't sparkle, they don't eat animals, and they don't kill everything they see. Vampires also don't live forever. Their lifespan is so much simpler compared to the humans and slayers. Unless they're killed first, they die at one-hundred years and a day. Exactly.

The vampires just want to live. They can't just live off of bread and ramyun for a century. In all honesty, the hunger vampires experience from not having a meal in two weeks is worse than what a human feels from not being fed for two months. But every single one of those monsters learn to put up with it, because they need to let the humans spawn before eating them. And Kim Taehyung, haven't had anything for two weeks. So the happiness and hope he felt wandering around town was so real that one could get high off of it.

Denim jacket around his shoulders, hood over his head, a slice of bread stuck in between thick, pouty lips and the rest of the loaf in his hands, the male kept his head down as he walked through the streets. Tae could smell so many things, so many people. The brunette's sense of smell heightened the hungrier he got, and the sudden shock of a citrus smell had him following right behind somebody, until the crowd died down and he could be left alone to take action. "H-hey...I just wanted to ask you...do you want to go out for coffee? You look interesting, and you walk really fast." His soft, deep voice chuckled to the girl, showing a perfect rectangular grin.

One thing leads to the next and the two start talking, and talking, and talking. This is the approach he would take all the time, even though it takes a bit longer. Two days later, he finds himself talking to this girl and walking with her, trying his absolute hardest not just to whip her away and satisfy the undying hunger. They're walking closer to a restaurant run by vampires. When the absence of smell approaches, a bit of comfort eases onto Taehyung. When she tucks her hair behind her ear and the citrus scent floats into my nose, he lose it. She's whipped away by strong hands and behind the restaurant. "Wh-what are you doing?" She asks, eyes wide and scared. Taehyung presses his lips to hers to calm her. "You're so perfect...." he murmurs out the usual lie, just to shut her up. Now, she is just food. Those soft lips move down to her neck and then fangs pierce her skin. Citrus....a warm rush flows through Tae. He can hear a few small squeaks from the girl before she goes limp. Soon enough, he backs away, letting her sink to the ground. Wiping his mouth and spitting on the ground, the almond-eyed male made a small loop around the restaurant, heading back around where he entered the first time.
