Surprise. ;)

Harry
Niall and I had an interview today. It was a radio interview so it wasn't a biggy, but it was being filmed on camera as well so I at least had to look decent.

The other lads had the day off so it was just me and Niall at the moment. We still had an hour and a half until we had to leave, so I decided to try and kill time by cleaning out some boxes in the attic of my house. I haven't been able to clean in what felt like ages so I didn't mind.

I started with the box full of awards that the boys and I have won over the years we've been a band. I felt a smile crawl on my face just from looking at the pile of them in the large box. It's been a good three years, it has.

None of these awards would have been given to us without our fans. They were the most important to us. If they were happy then we were happy. If our music saves them then we'll damn well keep making music. There was no question to any of it.

Eventually, I was able to find a few shelves behind some boxes that I could put all of the incredible awards on. The only issue was that I had to nail them to the walls and I wasn't sure I'd have enough time before the van arrived. I decided to wing it.

I went downstairs to my garage where I kept all of my hardware supplies. I managed to find a pack of nails and a hammer after much searching and made my way up the stairs again with a little whistle of Elton John coming from my lips.

I lugged the heavy shelves downstairs once again, almost cursing as I dodged the hammer that fell inches from my boot. I was a mess. Easily finding a free spot on one wall, I nailed them in for what must have taken a lot of my time away from me. At least I was able to finish.

Checking my watch as I heaved myself up the freaking stairs, I found out that I wasted around an hour and that Niall would be texting me that they're in front of my house in about ten minutes.

I sighed and plopped myself down in front of a box labeled "PICTURES". Might as well, yeah?

I opened the lids up carefully and looked inside. I saw a picture of my sister Gemma and I first when I was about one years old.

The scene was taken from above us, as Gemma's arms were wrapped around me. We both had massive grins on our faces. I had asked my mum if she could make or give me a copy a while ago and I'm glad she did. That was a good image.

I moved that aside and looked at the next one which almost made me laugh. It was a picture that someone took of us when me and the boys were singing Torn at Simon's house.

We looked so ridiculous. Niall had these massive bangs that made him look like a younger Zac Efron, while Liam had these Justin Bieber bangs and Louis had flip flops because that was the day he got stung by a sea urchin.

Aside from our looks, we all seemed to fit together and I was glad. I couldn't ask for better band mates. They were all brilliant.

Once again, I moved that one aside as well and looked at the next one under it. Oh my Lord....

  There she was.

   Jade f--king Thirlwall.

God, was she something. I remember taking that. How could I forget it?

FLASHBACK
"Jade, come on love. You're gonna eventually hurt yourself." I couldn't help but to let out a laugh right after; she was so adorable.

"Just wait, Harry! I can do it!" She yelled from the field, soccer ball in the air and her back bent down.

"Jade, you're not going to be able to-." The rest of my words were held back and forgotten as I just stood there stupidly with my mouth wide open and no voice coming out.

"Harry! I-I think I got it! Am I doing it right?" I nodded with the same surprised expression, eyes trained at the ball balancing on her back.

She huffed. "Take a picture please! At least show me some sign that tells me that you're alive!"

I broke out of my trance and my large hands fumbled for my phone.

"3..2..1.." She smiled.

REALITY

Two days later, I had gotten it printed.

Three years later, I sit here and look at that same exact picture.

I had dared her to try and do what she had successfully done, even in heels, and she wouldn't take no for an answer. The whole experience of watching her never give up was admiring.

Jade was, as you could say, a special person to me then. We met at school and we knew each other for five years. We were inseparable.

When I went on the X Factor, she was there for the whole audition. When I got in, she was crying happy tears and she hugged me and told me how proud she was of me. When One Direction was formed, she called me and told me that she was so happy and couldn't wait to see me again.

She never did.

I became too busy with making albums with the boys, playing arenas with them, and just plain out being in the band and being where I was today.

She never called me either. We haven't talked or seen each other for three years. I had absolutely no idea what she was doing now. What she looked like now, what she did now, and where she was now was all a huge mystery to me. Who even knows anymore if she still lives in Tamworth?

And now, as I sat on my knees with my hands holding the photograph and the smile wiped off my face, I realized something big.

I missed her.

Hello!! Surprise update! It may be a double update but I'm not quite sure yet.

So this was all Harry......and sort of an insight to what happened with Jade.

Hope you liked it! Next chapter will be a split p.o.v. and there will be a new character!

Also there was a kinda sorta big clue to what's going on next chapter in this update. If any of you find out what it is, comment!

Comment and vote! They mean a lot!

All the love. :)
