The rest of the periods went by smoothly enough. The boys slept through most of them, as I was so damn tempted to. I'd wake them up when I had to change classes, and we'd engage in small talk till I got to the room. The day dragged on, but at least I needn't fear about them causing any trouble again. They perked up momentarily in biology when they spotted the word REPRODUCTION written on the board, but lost most of their excitement when the teacher added PLANT before it. Perverted morons.

The big deal happened when the bell of freedom rang out, telling us we could all go home.

I packed my bag and headed out the door, but I guess I forgot to zip up the compartments completely. Because no sooner had I stepped out into the hallway something yanked me back harsh, followed by a loud crash as my books fell to the floor. Cursing, I bent down and started putting them back in. I didn't need to look up to see who did it- I'd recognize the clack of her hot pink pumps anywhere. Sure enough, one of them landed on the book I was reaching for, stabbing it and almost impaling me. High-pitched snickers rang out above me, but I ignored them and continued with my task. Until a blood-boiling voice squeaked out," Well, well, well. Look what we have here. A rat, sitting on the ground, where it belongs."

Gritting my teeth, I did my best to ignore her and finish the task at hand, reminding myself that while violence is the most gratifying way to deal with this situation for me, the school authorities wouldn't agree. I stood up shakily, two hands latching onto my arms and helping me up. I turned to smile at the boys, but they had their eyes trained on the demon in front of me.

"Hey! I'm talking to you here!" She snapped her fingers in front of my face annoyingly, her shrill voice hurting my ears. The grip on my arms tightened almost painfully, making me wince.

Ike nodded his head towards her and asked," Who is this girl?"

In answer, I faced the scowling girl and asked loudly," What do you want, Amy?"

When she noticed that I had her attention, she smirked and pointed a manicured finger at me and said, "You gone from my sights. Is that so hard for you to do?" The same old line she'd spout everytime we crossed paths.

I shrugged. "Perhaps. I just don't see why I should, especially if you're the one to tell me to."

She put a hand on her hips and looked at me scornfully, the corner of her lip rising up unattractively. "You know what? Scum like you should just die. God knows what diseases you breed, hanging out with decaying bodies all day. Do us all a favour and disappear."

Fingers dug into my arm, making me bite my lip to supress a yelp. The boys let out a low growl and stepped forward menacingly.

"Calm down," I whispered furiously. The hands on my arms disappeared, and I rubbed them softly.

"...in fact, I think you should join him." I'd ignored her rants up to that point, but those words managed to reach me. Stepping forward, I said softly," Come again?"

Oblivious to my advance, she flipped her hair and said," I said , maybe you should join him. You know. Your precious Jim-" She yelped and stopped midsentence when my hand slammed against the wall inches away from her face. Shaking, I gripped her designer collar and twisted it in my hand.

"You better watch yourself, missy. If you keep at it, one day, I'll lose my temper. And I assure you, you won't make it out in one piece."

Releasing her, I walked away, letting her shriek out stuff about me being a cross-dressing bitch, and that I should just get lost. Struggling to maintain my calm, I jogged down the couple steps and exited the school. I glanced back when I heard a scream and a crash, grinning when I saw Amy sprawled on the ground, moaning about her ankle. One of her lackies who'd come to her help whispered something in her ear that made her scream once again. Removing her shoe, she stared wide-eyed at the broken heel and wailed loudly. If luck was on my side, she'd just destroyed her favourite shoe. Served her right, anyway..
