Well, this is my first Pokemon fanfiction. As you've probably read from the description, this takes place two years after Kalos and Ash is eighteen. But before I say anything else, I just want to say that if the characters seem a bit ... out of character, that was the intention. People change, so I don't see any reason as to why characters can't either.
They still have the same base characteristics - you take that away and the characters aren't just the same. But to some degree they've changed. Whether it be maturity (or immaturity) levels, or a change in occupation, they've changed. Even Team Rocket.
I'm sure this sort of plotline had been done before, in fact, I'm certain of it. So that's nothing original. But the characterisation takes a slightly different flavour as the characters interact, even f their interactions are standard. Some of the things they say can be quite surprising!
And on a final note, the English this story is written in is Australian. Which means Australian spellings. Which means spelling words like 'colour' 'colour' not 'color' and so on.
