IT IS AN ESSAY ON THE RELIGIONS OF THE WORLD. IT MIGHT BE OFFENSIVE TO SOME, FAIR WARNING HAS BEEN GIVEN SO IF YOU ARE AN OVERLY RELIGIOUS PERSON. DON'T READ IT.

Religion is a very tricky aspect of the world that we live in. Some people consider it to be their everything ; their reason of existence while some people consider it a hindrance in life; an ideaology that could not be more wrong. What do I think of it ? Simple , I do not. Religion gets more and more bizarre as you start thinking about it. What is the truth? Or rather which is the true religion? I do not know nor do I intend to find out. What I really believe in is a simple truth. there is a higher power out there who has made the Universe and designed the various genome of this world.

But now there will be at least hundreds who would agree to disagree cause religion is just so "important for their respective prides". You cannot say in front of a muslim that Allah is not real, or in front of a Hindu that Ramayana is just a myth and there is no Lord Ram or Lord Hanuman, or in front of a christian that Jesus was a human and that the Bible was amended by the Church, can you? But when a Muslim is not within or sight then Islam is a violent religion, when a Hindu isn't then Mahabharata was just a myth similarly when a Christian isn't then Jesus Christ was a human.... Why this unnecessary hypocrisy? Isn't the world supposed to have freedom of speech...... Why the stabbing ? Why the accusing? Why the unnecessary debates ? Why the violence? WHY THE HYPOCRISY????

I will tell you why . Lets start but breaking down to the key factors:

1) The "Religion is Supreme"

This is simply irrational and sometimes even inhumane. It is the thought process of orthodox generation, not People but generation. Nowadays youngsters are accused of being religiously "unaware" cause it is soooo important to go to Church every Sunday or offer Prayers 5 days or do "pooja" every morning at 5. I don't believe that even God will be awake at 5. Well, this is the truth and this supreme odealogy is being given to children since the age of 5 or 6 and it is downright manipulative. I know it is very much necessary to have faith..... but why is entities we know only legends about?? why not in humanity??

2) The 'Fear' Factor

This is actually my favourite point to discuss cause it is really simple : Having intimate relations with people will not be like booking a place for you in the deepest pits of Hell. Yes, HAVING FORCED INTIMATE RELATIONS WILL DEFINITELY WILL. What is so difficult about that. Why are people manipulated like this .. If I love a guy and we are not married then its wrong in the "Eyes of the Lord" , why? Do these so called "eyes" do not see the love or affection or immense care? Why is it such a big deal to have sexual relations? If the person is legal and mature enough to make their own decisions then why cannot they marry whomsoever they want or not marry anyone?? Why is "sex" only allowed after marriage?? What is so bloody special about a marriage certificate ?? I think that these sermons in which sex is allowed only after marriage were held to instill fear in the minds of the people, simply to reduce cases of early pregnancy.

3) The "Politics"

This is actually a very misunderstood topic. What happens is that leaders who are supposed to progress do the opposite. They try to instigate revolt by provoking the religious feelings of the people and earn votes on the basis of religion and not their talents. This condition is mostly observed in underdeveloped or developing countries. I mean, why should we all pray to God to give us water and for it to rain? If there is no vegetation and it is a relatively dry land how will the rain suddenly come out of nowhere only when you were praying? The most common example , well common to me , are the Hindu- Muslim and Sunni-Shia fights. These are actually very dangerous cause these involve mostly illiterate people for whom everything is their religion or, more correctly, the religion they presume and then practice rather than just two persons with different ideologies. It always ends in bloodshed and unrest and often political leaders choose the more powerful "religion" and then they start the provocation to get in their good books. The ironical thing is that religion as a whole is what can unite anyone and what is peoples weakness. A jab at Islam can make even a Sunni and Shia who have been fighting ever since beginning of time , the best of friends cause :Islam .

At this juncture I would like to ask how many of us actually research about our religions? Actually try to dig up a legends and how they can be verified ? actually fully accept the flaws and the possibility that we just might be wasting our time praying and going to pilgrims? The answer is again very simple: MINORITY. And how many of us are really great followers? How many of us have NEVER lied , NEVER felt envy or wrath or greed or lust or gluttony or sloth or pride? The answers to this is actually very astonishingly simple :NONE. No one in this whole wide world can say I have never lied or committed any of the seven sins. It is simply impossible. Everybody knows how to defend their religion but who knows their religion. No one.

At this stage I end this battle of faiths and give you a new one : HUMANITY. Being human is different than human being . Be a person you want people to be. Help one another. Stand for the right one not for the religious one.
