PAIRING: Cecil Aijima/Hibiki Kuze
SERIES: Uta no Prince-Sama Maji Love 2000% x Devil Survivor 2 Crossover
SYNOPSIS: Today is Hibiki's wedding day where him and Nitta are finally getting together. However, this is the worst day of all for Cecil when he finds himself crying for the man he loves. What will happen to the two?
AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is purely based off a role-play thread I had as princececil on Tumblr with askhibikikuze, and yes it is crack but don't judge. I enjoy all ships.
Cecil just hoped this was all just a big nightmare, that he’d just wake up soon to find the same old Hibiki he loved the same way he was before. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. It was just a few days ago when the brunet had invited him to the café they shared their first date at. It was then he found out something he wished he never heard.
“This is the girl I’ve been telling you all about, Io Nitta,” he grinned. “We’re getting married next week, so I hope you could come and be my best man.” In just a few words, Cecil’s heart tore in two. He’d love the younger boy since they’ve met, and just hearing this made his entire world crash. “Oh? She’s a lovely girl then, Hibiki. I hope you two have a wonderful marriage. Of course I’ll be your best man! But, I’m surprised you didn’t ask Daichi instead of me,” he faked a smile. Behind his mask, he was sobbing his heart out.
It was only a few days after, the one he wished never came – the day of the wedding. He was expected to show up early as the best man, but he couldn’t bring himself to leave just yet. It still hurt to even think of Hibiki now. The brunette let himself cry one last time, to let whatever he had left out of his system.
It was way past the time he was supposed to show up, he was bent over in a black tuxedo with his eyes red, and face all wet. On the other side, Hibiki stood in the church anxious to find out what his missing best man was doing and why it was taking him so long to get here. Was it the traffic? He doubted it. The brunet took out his cell phone and punched in the missing man’s number, his patience was at its peak. “Pick up, Cecil….”
Cecil’s phone had gone off, making him jump a bit. He stared at the device, seeing the name of the person he loved the most. He laughed to himself. He’s probably mad at me.. Reluctantly, he picked up after the 5th ring. “CECIL! Where are you?! You were supposed to be here a while ago! Did something happen on the way to get over here? Answer me!” Yep, he was mad. But it was adorable when he was, at least to the brunette. His voice was hoarse as he began to speak as a result of his sobbing, “I’m sorry Hibiki.. I think I might’ve came down with a fever. Can’t you ask Daichi to be your best man right now?” It broke his heart to say this, but it was for the best. He didn’t think he’d survive just the reception alone.
On the other line, his anger turned into slight worry and fear.
“Cecil, are you okay? We can reschedule the entire wedding until after you get better, I’m sure Nitta-san wouldn’t mi--.”
“It’s fine,” he gave a sad smile. “Please go ahead with the wedding. Although I may not be there, I hope to at least see some wedding pictures!” he faked a laugh.
“A-Ah… Alright then.. I hope you get well soon then, Cecil. I’ll come by right after the wedding to see how you’re doing.”
“There’s no need, it’s fine don’t worry about me. It’s your big day, I shouldn’t be the one stomping on it.”
The brunette stared at his phone once more and ended the call, breaking the other person in the middle of his sentence. He really couldn’t do this, he really couldn’t. As if almost immediately, his phone began to ring again, but it turned out to be someone else who was the caller. ‘Ittoki Otoya.’ His half brother was one of the people attending the wedding who originally was supposed to be there beside him to keep him from breaking down. The red head didn’t expect less from his behavior. He picked up the phone again and waited to get a response from him.
“Cecil, are you there? Why aren’t you here? I thought you were Kuze-san’s best man.”
There was a small silence.
“…You’re crying, aren’t you Cecil,” he hit it on the spot.
“….You know me too well, Otoya.”
“So that means you’re not coming? I heard from Kuze-san that you were ‘running a fever.’ How long are you going to keep this up?”
“Just until today’s over. It still hurts too much to face him again.”
“I see… I’m coming over after this then, and I’m not taking no for an answer!”
He laughed at his brother’s enthusiasm before accepting his proposal and hung up. He looked at his watch. 10:32AM. The wedding was just about to start. He began reminiscing, thinking of the memories he shared with the brunet. From the first time they met, to their first date, to their first time love-making, and the time he nearly killed him because of a stab he was blocked from. “You’re the best prince. So…I’ll be your knight. Because knights keep princes safe and princes take care of their knights.” He remembered that same line his knight said to him that night he brought him to the hospital. Repeating the line over and over again in his head, he was on the brink of snapping.
Until it finally clicked. He got up from his bed, put on his shoes and rushed out the door. He needed to get there as soon as possible. He ran down multiple streets, not even bothering to call for a taxi. The church where the wedding was being held at was farther than expected, but it was worth if it meant stopping that wedding.
In a matter of minutes, he finally reached the building, strolling up to the doors. The wedding bells rang signaling the beginning of the ceremony as the prince kicked open the doors. He marched down the aisle to the groom, grabbed him by the shoulders, and pressed his lips against the brunet’s. “Please don’t marry Nitta… I can’t bare to see you vow the rest of your life to someone who wasn’t me… I can’t bare to see my knight be together with someone else but their prince… I love you Hibiki!” Tears ran down the brunette’s cheeks as he begged Hibiki not to marry the girl beside them. His head hung low, against the other’s shoulder.
The brunet stared at him awestruck by the confession. His face warmed up to a blush as he pulled the whimpering cat boy into a hug. Cecil’s eyes were wide eyed as he felt a hand patting his head. “Shh…It’s okay. I’ll stay with you… I... I still love you,” the man confessed. It was then that the bride herself smiled and chuckled.
“N-Nitta?”
“I knew this was going to happen,” she began. “But I can’t be in the way of two people who truly love each other.”
She took off her ring and put it in Cecil’s hand.
“Please have a wonderful marriage with Hibiki. He deserves it.”
Cecil broke down at the line said to him. He was more than happy right now, but he lost all feeling in his legs. He sunk to the ground, crying tears of joy as the groom tried to calm him down with the help of Otoya.
Later that day, Nitta and Cecil had changed into their appropriate attire, switching their roles and standing before the altar. The two men had exchanged vows, said their ‘I do’s’ and topped it all off with a kiss. The walked arm in arm as they exited the building, petals being tossed over them as they walked down the aisle. “Toss the bouquet!” The previous bride cheered. All the women grouped up together in a crowd, pushing and shoving one another as Cecil tossed the bouquet behind him and into the sea of women trying to claim it. It was caught in the hands of not only Nitta, but also Haruka who was Otoya’s date to the wedding. Both women’s faces reddened as they laughed together.
The couple secretly snuck off to the wedding vehicle, heading straight for Cecil’s home where they’re going to take a “stop” at.
