Chapter 1
I walk into the courtyard and hear rude comments about my clothes almost immediately.
I wanted to cry.
So I ran into the bathroom and there was a girl standing at the sink doing her makeup. She had on beautiful clothes and her hair was perfect. I knew she had to be rich.
I walked up to the sink and started blotting my teary eyes. The girl walked over to me and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Oh nothing. Just some stupid kids that were making fun of my clothes." I replied.
"Aw I am really sorry! My name is Paige. What's yours?
"Haynes," I replied.
"Ok, Haynes, would you like me to do your makeup for you?"
"Sure, I've never worn makeup before so I won't know how I look in it..."
"Oh you'll look great in it! When I'm done with you, all of the boys will want you!" she said winking.
"You think?"
"Of course!"
So she pulled me over to the sink and did my makeup and hair. When I was done, I looked like a completely different person! I thought I looked gorgeous! I couldn't believe that the girl that had walked in here with no makeup on and messy hair could look like I did!
"What do you think?" Paige asked.
"I love it!"
"I think I did a pretty good job if I do say so myself!" she said laughing.
"Thanks so much!" I said. I knew that Paige was one of the nicest girls I have ever met. I think that we could become very good friends.
"Now all I need to do is change out of these clothes..." I said.
"Don't worry. I always keep an extra pair of clothes in my locker just in case of an emergency!" Paige said.
"Really? Thanks so much! I'll give them back to you tomorrow if you want me to."
"Nah. You keep them." She said, "my first day of school present to you."
Then we walked out of the bathroom to her locker and there was a ton of noise in the hall. Everyone was talking about some member of a famous band that was coming to visit tomorrow. I couldn't make out the name though...
