The Third Day

On this day God created the land. Huge masses of Earth spread evenly across the oceans. He was pleased with his creation.

Next he created the vegetation, all green and blue and pink and purple. He decorated the earth with these. He called them trees and flowers and bushes and berries.

We loved these. We would pop the sweet things into our mouths and they were delicious. Gabriel, being a child, put a sweet berry into his mouth and swallowed it whole. It was red, with a green leaf and brown stem on it. God called it an apple. I didn't know how he had gotten the whole thing in his mouth anyway, but we found him choking. It was good that God had made us immortal.
