As a college student you get to learn about the various types of people. Especially if you put yourself out there. Phillip Lester was excited about this. He loved the thought of having many different friends. And the idea of them being into different amazing things. Growing up in a small town where nearly everyone was the same and had the same ideas. This was both scary and exciting for him.
" Will you be okay here phil?" his lovely mother asked him placing a few things she had brought into his dormitory room.
He nodded with a huge excited smile. " Of course mum. You've done so much for me today. Please get home and get some rest."
" If you have everything then I will leave.. but oh... Im going to miss you so much!" She said taking him into a huge hug. His father walked in and huffed seeing her burst into tears made him feel weak for deep down he hated his son finally leaving.
" Don't make a scene dear."
Phill let a few tears fall down his cheek before quickly brushing them away. " Ill miss you." He said with a small sad smile.
His parents nodded and sighed walking out of his dormitory. He sat counting the seconds they had left resisting any urge he had to run out and hug them again one last time. He peeked out the window just in time to see their car driving off and he sighed.
" that's over with..." he breathed in. As he looked around the room he noticed he would be getting a roommate. This made his heart skip around in his chest. He wondered anxiously who his roommate would be. Was it possible for them to have the same majors? Or could they be complete opposites yet become the best of friends? Either way he hoped to just get along well with them.
He had become so envelop he hadn't noticed someone standing at the door.
" Hello..?" a soft voice called from the door way. Phil nearly jumped off of his bed being startled but immediately stood up to see a tall handsome boy at the door. He got a bit flustered but simply smiled big to hide it.
" Hello there! Are you my roommate?" he asked with enthusiasm. The boy wore mostly black, even his shoes were black. He had large brown eyes that looked phil up and down with curiosity. His hair was straightned and left a fringe going across his forehead. Phil wouldn't lie to himself, he did feel a bit intimidated.
" uhh.. I think..? room 241?" He said looking around then paused. " wait..."
Phill tried his best to not let his smile fade. " I believe it's the next room over."
" right Sorry..uhm.. thanks" The boy quickly shuffled into the next room over.
Phil let his smile drop he had gotten excited for nothing. The least he could have done was introduce himself. He shook his head and reminded himself that since he was just next door there was a chance for him to possibly meet him again. Or at least he hoped.
As he waited for his actual roommate to arrive. He began unpacking and setting up his room to his taste. On his bed he had placed down a small pet lion he had gotten from his parents when he was younger. He loved lions and actually had many stuffed animal lions but of course couldn't bring them all so he brought the one that was most important. In the middle of placing his cloths in his drawer a voice chirped from the front door.
" Hello there! Phillip Lester right?" another boy said with a huge smile. " Im Jacob. Your roommate so it seems" he had light short brown hair and bright green eyes. He was wearing a grey sweater with dark red jeans and red converse to match.
Phil smiled and walked up to him holding his hand out. " It's a pleasure to meet you, Jacob."
" You as well. Sorry I'm a bit late I had so many things to pack and bring a long, that I ended up forgetting a bit"
