Chapter 3 Cuts and Bruises part 1

I was being hunted" Kai said with a soft voice his voice was softer than a cloud his voice almost disappearing in to the air.

"What!?" Matt almost screamed at the small fox who flinched back then winced from the pain that was still there from the bullet wound.

"I was being hunted" Kai repeated his voice tumbling from soft to quiet the wolf looked at the Fox and saw how scred he was Matt couldn't help himself but he hugged the smaller boy who was very shocked by the hug and didn't know how to react, he then felt a shock run through his body and down his spine knowing what Matt did he pushed Matt away.

"Whats wrong?" Matt asked with a sturn face his night sky velvet hair hanging in his eyes Kai just looked at him with a scared face.

"What did you do?" Kai asked Matt his voice shaking with fear he knew that if he went back his dad would sence that Matt had marked him as Matt's property and he would get beaten for going in to the forest of the wolves.

"I marked you...is that bad?" Matt wondered Kai could only nod a yes at Matt, Kai looked down and pulled his sleeve down covering the cuts the marked his wrist, Matts eyes followed Kais gaze and pulled up his sleeve.

Matts breath stoped in his lungs when he saw Kais wrist.

"Why?" Matt asked still looking at Kai's wrist Kai just shrugged.

"My dad beats me every now and then" he said with no emotion in his voice 'every now and the bull shit he beats me all the time' Kai thought thinking that Matt couldn't hear him but he did, "you lie" he said "you lie about your dad beating you every now and then he beats and rapes you all the time right?" Matt said looking at Kai for only a second.

The memories started to flood back to Kai, he remembered the bitter sweetness of his fathers words.
