Aaliyah

I was in my house watching tv when it was a loud knock on my door. I sighed, annoyed, getting up from my comfort, stumbling to go and open my door, and Tupac walked in. "Yeah, come in," I said sarcastically. He turned to me. He looked stressed; I could see it in his sparkling eyes.

I'm confused. "Pac, what's wrong?" I asked, grabbing his arm.

"Dre left Death Row...." He mumbled.

I grew shocked. "What?!" I yelled.

"Yeah. Suge was on shit, so Dre left." He said, making me grow annoyed.

I let go of his arm and went to go sit down. "I should have seen that coming, huh?" I spat, looking up at him.

He looked annoyed now, "What the fuck are you talking bout now?!!!" He snapped in anger, his tone scaring me a bit.

"How you point everything at Suge, he's not a bad person aight, what Dre chose was his choice," I argued.

"Why do you always have this fat fucks side?! What?! You fucking him?!" He yelled.

My eyes widened at his words, "Fuck no! You really think I'm like that?" I asked, nearly crying.

He waved me off, "Ion even know you."

"But you knew me just fine when you were kissing all over me, huh?!" I yelled. This hurt that he would say that to me.

"Suge ain't shit, and you over here wiping his fat ass for him!!!" He yelled back.

I kissed my teeth. "What's so bad about Suge then?"

"Suge murdered someone before, and he just got charged with assault last week, and he's never gon hand you no money in yo fucking hand." He told me in his calmer/softer tone.

"And like I told you before. I'll take my fucking chances."

"Whatever, be dumb. I just came over to tell you that Suge wants you to ask Tim to finish our beats."

I just sat there for a second. "You know. I'm not sure if I wanna finish that song with you anymore." I said, still hurt.

He nodded. "You know, I thought you and I were slowly building something. I thought that you were different---."

"Huh, get out!!!" I shouted, cutting him off.

He nodded once again. "I guess baby girl can't handle the truth." He chuckled. He slid a folded piece of paper over to me and left. I broke down, kicking over the table.

"Shit!" I yelled, tears streaming down my face. Is he right about Suge? Am I just wasting my time? Millions of thoughts were running through my mind as I cried thinking about Pac.

"It's gonna be okay," Tim assured me, brushing my hair out of my face.

"Why does everybody hate Suge?" I asked him, looking into his eyes.

He sighed, rubbing my shoulder. "Baby girl. There are some things you don't know."

I looked up at him, tears filling my eyes now. "Like what?"

He sighed again. "Suge's worked with many other people, and they all have said this same thing about him. Now you don't find that a bit strange?"

"But he hasn't done anything to me," I argued.

"That's just it. Have you made any music under Death Row yet?" He asked me, rubbing his chin hairs.

"No," I answered.

"I think that you should leave right now."

I rolled my eyes in annoyance, "Come on, Tim, you too?!" I yelled.

"Tupac was right babygirl. You need to leave before you're broke as a joke." He told me in a severe tone.

"Leave where, Tim?"

"You could go to Interscope or even Ruthless." He suggested.

"I can't just leave, at least not right now," I told him, shaking my head.

"Why not? You read the contract, didn't you?"

I started looking around like a dummy. "Um, about that...."

"So you're under a contract, and you don't even know the circumstances?" He thought this was unbelievable; I could hear it in his tone.

"Look, I'm just gonna try Death Row..."

He shook his head, standing to his feet. "Then I can't make your beats then..."

"Are you being serious right now?"

He sighed, "Yeah. I just wish that you weren't." He left. I just sat there and cried to myself. I don't know what is holding me down.
