How We Met

Emmy's P.O.V

I met him at a coffee shop one day. He was the waiter. He came over, took my order, and right there, in this moment, i knew he had to be mine. That deep voice, strong arms, toned skin, and childish soul. There was no denying the spark that was there. He was everything and a bag of chips *giggles*. Funny how your whole life, the one you've planned out for yourself when you were 6, can flip in an instant. How you want one thing, but get another.

You never wanted to leg go, no, this is what you wanted. Never wanted it to stop, but it never started. Then when you lose what you had you start to lose track of time and forget what your purpose was in this world was from the start *starts to get angry then manages to calm herself down*. But no, get it together girl. It's all right. It's all in your head *takes a deep breath in amd calls her best friend*

"Wassup, girly", she says happily

"Hey Jennica, what you doing?" I said in a sad tone.

"Uh-oh been thinkin' about him again huh?"

"Yeah, just...I can't believe it ended the way it did."

"Well...life happens ya, know. One minute you think you're in love, and the next, before you know it, he's gone."

"You get me so well", which is true. Jennica is the type of girl who is passionate, yet heartless; kind, but mean, all at once. She's the only one I told what happened, well she and my brother Tobias. They were the only people I trusted really, they knew me inside and out.

"It's my job to get you. You're my best friend."

"I know, I know. But...do you think he'll ever come back?"

"I don't really think so to be honest, but there's a chance. I mean, you were right for doing what you did, remember that ok."

"Ok, and I'm about to go out in a few, you wanna come over? I'll pick you up."

"Sure, you need some cheering up anyway. Just hurry up because Jonas is throwing ANOTHER tantrum", she sighed in the phone

"Got you. Later, Jenni"

"Later", then the line went dead. I got up and checked on Tobias.

"Knock, knock. It's your sister. And before I come in, please put the dinger back where it belongs"

"Oh, shut up we're not doing anything."

So I walked in to see Tobias sitting on Evan's lap watching Empire. Tobias waved at me, and Evan didn't even look at me.

"Well someone doesn't want to speak tod-"

"Shhh, Valentina is telling Hakeem about how she wants to be on Empire...ooo now they're kissing" Evan said excitedly cutting me off

"Evan don't be so rude. Say hi." Tobias said gently hitting Evan's shoulder

"Hi. Now hush"...Okay someone loves their Empire.

"Well, I'm going to go pick up Jennica, and we may come back here...maybe."

"Well whatever you do, just please be careful out there." Evan said keeping his gaze on the TV.

"I will, I pro-"

"Because you know what kinds of people walk the stree-"

"Okay, Evan. I'll be careful", I said chuckling.

"Just trying to protect my little sister" he calls me his sister because he's always here so it's like he's that annoying family member

"I know, and thank you...both of you"
