Prologue:
I took a glance at my bare hands, which was flaming red because of the heavy grocery bags. As i pressed my feet against the ground faster after my goosebumps rose, a strong breeze blew my hair as i walk through the dark alley. I've been using this alley for a long time and i trust it more than the roadside. My flat can be heard as it echoed through the dead silent alley. From here, i could see my night light flickered. But again, the yet same strong breeze came attack again, knocking my groceries bag. It was so strong that i was thankful it didn't knock me down like the rolling cans.
I bent down and picked up all groceries while my other hand, holding my phone shakily. I called Chloe, the only person that ran through my mind at the panic second. My heart beat rapidly. This never happened to me before. There was something wrong about this creepy knockdown thing, and it successfully scared me.
"Ch-chloe!," i spoke but quietly biting my tongue after realizing that it wasn't Chloe, but voice mail robot. Not wasting anytime, i picked up the last grocery and tried to stand up but my back felt surprisingly heavy. I groaned after standing up and cracked my back. The popping bubble sound sounded so obvious in the quiet alley. But after a while, i squinted my eyes, thinking he's fake. Thinking the figure that stood a few meters away from me was just my imagination.
But it wasn't. And i realized it just a little bit too late.
