the meaning of this cover has to do with the book. in the story, their mother dies. she is burried in a cemetery near a tree. the barcode stands for everything her mother bought her. although she never had a mother, she bought her many things that she found later in her life. as for the title, it symbolizes death in a pleasurable way. Go read it!
