((A/N This chapter will be a little longer than the first, I guess the first chapter was an intro of sorts. I'm thinking of switching to third person because this is my first time writing in first person and I don't really know how I feel about it, so let me know what you prefer to read. Comments are very appreciated!))
I scowl as my brother slings the airhead Italian over his shoulder and goes off to find a band-aid. He could tend to Italy's little cut, but he couldn't spare a glance at his most awesome brother? And he claims not to be gay for the little idiot.
I look around the room and freeze at who I see. It's that one guy that no one acknowledges during world meetings, the one with the bear! I mean, I doubt he's nearly as awesome as me, but he looks pretty awesome. I mean- uh, he looks like he would be pretty awesome.
I stride over to him confidently and take a seat next to him, looking over at him.
Now, I'll admit this guy has some pretty awesome eyes, but being two feet away from him is a whole new level of awesomeness. Suddenly I feel much less awesome and a lot more awkward.
I can see his indigo eyes light up with something like joy when I stare into them for just a little too long, which was the opposite of the reaction I was expecting.
"You can see me?" The man asks, his voice just above silent, as if everything he was saying was a secret.
I snap out of my indigo-eyes induced stupor. Quite un-awesomely for my tastes, I reply, "Ja, I can see you."
The man sits up straighter and smiles peacefully. "I'm Canada." The man whispers again, slightly louder now. "Oh, I didn't mean to yell, I'm sorry."
"I'm Prussia, but you can call me awesome."
I had meant it literally, but apparently Canada found it funny, as he produces the most soft, swoon-worthy laugh I have ever heard. Not that I'd ever admit that out loud.
"I think I'll just call you Prussia. It's nice to meet you, people don't normally talk to me, or aboot me during these meetings."
"Ja? Why not? You seem awesome enough. More awesome than that stupid Italy my brother breaks his back for." I scowl and cross my arms, Canada blushing slightly.
"Thank you... I'm not all that great, thou-" There was a thick thump as a container full of something falls from the inside of Canada's coat. "Oh, oops." Canada whispers before picking the container back up.
"...Is that maple syrup?"

FanfictionNo one ever noticed me. Don't worry, I was used to it by then, I even sort of liked it. Even so, I did always wish I had someone that at least knew my name. That's why I was so shocked when, at the normally bland world meetings, I started receiving...
