So, I have a really big irritation right now and I don't mean to be rude, and I'm sorry, but I just have to say it.

SHUT UP ABOUT MIKE'S MATE!!!!

1. She's nonexistent!

2. You'll never here one word mentioned about her!

3. She's not in the story at all!

4. There isn't even a 'she' or a ‘her’ because "she" doesn't exist

So, please don't comment about that imaginary person... it's so irritating. I don't know why you're talking about her when this is Ty and River's story. You know? River Woods. Ty Mason. The main characters of this story... The False Mate...

*sigh*

I'll just start the next chapter now....

River's P.O.V. (Because she actually does exist...)

"You can only give your heart to one," a voice echoed around me. I opened my eyes and found myself in the forest. The sun was fading beneath the tree. Long shadows were cast all around me. Then a melodic voice reverberated off the trees again. "Let you're heart guide you, my dear."

Quickly, I spun around and saw different people that I know stand a little ways before me. To my left, I had James, Elizabeth, and Jimmy. They watched me with smiles. Kevin stood off to my right and looked slightly worried. Dead ahead of me were two people I’ve come to know recently.

Mike and Ty stood side-by-side looking at me with completely serious faces. I didn’t understand what was going on. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Why would I need to choose between them? If Mike was my mate, I had to choose him, right? Didn’t you have to be with your mate? I couldn’t understand.

A howl rang out behind me. Again, I turned around to see the multi-colored wolf about ten feet behind me. I smiled remembering how he’d walked me home last night. Just like everyone else, he was looking at me.

“You can only choose one,” the voice said again. It was soft like a whisper next to my ear this time. It didn’t belong to any of the people standing before me. I moved my eyes to the left of me and saw a woman. The woman whose picture rested in my locket. Her locket.

My breath caught in my throat. “Mom,” I choked out. She smiled at me and walked over to stand next to me. She looked at me a moment before shifting her eyes over to my friends and family. When I looked over, Kevin and my family were gone. I blinked a few times, but they were still gone.

My mother was unfazed. “The people who were here before you all gave you a piece of their hearts,” she said softly. “You can only give one, of those who remain here, you’re heart in return.”

“Doesn’t it have to be my mate?” I asked quietly, almost timidly.

“You can choose whoever you want to be with always,” she said. “You’re not tied to anyone until after your full moon.”

I nodded and looked back at the wolf. He looked at me and started walking forward. As he passed me, he brushed against my legs slightly, before heading over to Ty and Mike. The wolf took his place next to Ty and sat down quietly. “He’s an option?” I asked in surprise.

She nodded. “Think about this carefully, River,” she said softly.

My eyes went to them and their faces hadn’t changed. I looked at the wolf, whose face resembled the others, but was more animalistic, considering he was a wolf. I didn’t even know him as a person, so how could I choose him? Still, there was something about him that kept him as one of my options.
