The Wattpad Mansion was not what Laurie had expected. After being thrown into the first door Laurie was already wishing to be back at home, but her day had gotten a lot better when she met Grant. Grant, the guy who saved Laurie's life and didn't care that she was a klutz. Of course Laurie was grateful that he agreed to help her or she would have been alone, and Laurie was terrified of being alone. As they climbed the ladder, Laurie learned more about what was going on and what the Mansion really was.

Laurie had experienced her first death, and her first broken jaw; all thanks to Lyon. When Laurie appeared in the death cell she had hopped to find Grant again, but no she fell face first onto the floor in a guy named Preston's cell. He was shocked at first, heck Laurie was too but when Laurie explained how she died and what she did, Preston slowly became her friend. So how did Laurie die? Laurie climbed the ladder slowly before she reached the top. Having the element of surprise she jumped on Lyon's back, but he reacted quickly by throwing her off and punching her in the jaw, after that Laurie scattered back before falling off the platform. In Laurie's head it had gone much better.

Laurie had finally found Grant, he was across from her only a few cells away, Laurie wondered how hadn't she noticed him earlier? It wasn't too long until the next door started, Laurie was already dreading it. Royce's lab; the one word Grant used to describe him, crazy. Nobody knew Laurie's fear, but somehow Royce had found out. Grant and Laurie had been avoiding everything easily until Grant's fear appeared. Margret -- as Grant had called her -- they kept having a conversation that Laurie knew nothing about, but she tried her best to help by doing what Grant instructed her to do. When they had hoped that Margret died, Laurie's worst fear came true.

It was a midnight forest, it was cold. Laurie was the only one for miles around. Laurie's conscious had taken over with fear. All she could think about was finding someone else, she tried to get up and move but her body wouldn't respond to what her head was telling it to do. Laurie couldn't tell what was fake or real. Laurie was breathing heavy by now, she was trying to stay calm, trying to listen to the outside world; but Laurie was stuck in her fear world. Laurie had to trust that Grant was there, she was finally able to calm herself enough to get a grip on things but she hadn't noticed the cradled position she had crawled into on the ground and when she finally had control over her body again, she realized that the nightmare was fading. Sure enough, Grant was there comforting her, as quickly as Laurie had broken down, she recovered. Jumping up and looking for a threat, deep in Laurie's mind; she knew that the fight wasn't over.

Laurie and Grant survived all the doors that were thrown at them. Until the end came, they were teleported to the lobby. As Laurie and Grant logged off, something nagged her in the back of her mind; would she ever see Grant again? And if she did, would they still be good friends? When Laurie got home, she was nervous about seeing her mom. How would she react? But as Laurie opened the door, the house was not as she remembered. An alcoholic smell flooded the house, every room in the house was a mess, neither parent was home. Laurie tried calling her mom first, nobody answered. Laurie sighed calling the only person who could explain things to her; Sarah.

Sarah explained how their mom quickly died from an unknown cause and their dad turned into an alcoholic. THe news surprised Laurie and she could tell that Sarah was trying not to strangle her on the other side of the phone. "T-thanks. B-bye S-sarah." Laurie hung up the phone, tears flooded her eyes. Laurie quickly went to the cemetery to visit her mother, she wasn't surprised when she found Lavender Daisies, planted by Sarah. 'Well, at least one of us cared.' she thought. When the tears started falling, it was Laurie's sign to go home and just to her luck, a black truck sat in the driveway; Laurie had to face her dad.

Laurie opened the door carefully, "Dad? I'm home." Shuffling came from in the kitchen, Laurie walked in to find her dad, drunk and mad. "Grace." he slurred "Yes dad?" Laurie asked carefully. "Where were you." Laurie could barely make out his words "I was at work." he growled, bringing his fist up. "Don't lie to me, Grace! You'll regret it." Laurie cowered back slightly. She didn't know how to describe the mansion because her dad was right, it wasn't really her work anymore. "I-I was at work, dad!" Laurie felt a sharp sting across her face. It took a moment for her to realize that he had just hit her, she also felt tears brimming her eyes. The home phone rang, saving Laurie as she escaped to her room, locking the door behind her. "I'll be over." she heard faintly, the front door slammed shut and Laurie was alone. She took deep breaths and carefully went back into the kitchen trying to find an ice pack. The closest she came to an ice pack was frozen peas. Julie had already heard the news that Laurie was home. In an instant Julie was at the front door, she immediately asked why there was a bag a frozen peas being held on Laurie's cheek. Laurie stumbled over her words "I-I f-ell. You k-know me, c-clumbsy Laurie." Julie slowly nodded, "And where did your dad run off to?" Laurie shrugged "I honestly don't know." Julie started to walk in the house when Laurie stopped her. "I was thinking we could go somewhere else." Julie raised an eyebrow "Where were you thinking?" Laurie sighed "I don't know. I just want to get out of the house already." Julie quickly slipped past Laurie and into the house "Wh-what happened?" Laurie shook her head slightly "Ask Sarah if you want to know that badly." Julie tilted her head. "Laurie are you okay? You aren't acting like yourself." Laurie nodded quickly. "I'm fine, thanks for stopping by. I'll talk to you later." Laurie quickly pushed Julie out of the door and shut it behind her. "What has my life turned into?" she asked quietly.
