*Sam's POV*

I have no idea how she does it. Every month, I go and check if the bill is payed, and every month, my debt is nonexistent. I'm not sure how she gets the money. I don't ask. "Hey, Sam!" Jess calls as she walks by. Brady introduced me to her last week, and I think I'm going to ask her out. She's really cute and nice. "Hey, Jess." I greet after her. She smiles.

(Delilah's POV)
I rake my fingers through my hair before sliding a magazine into my pistol. You know how people in college 'cram' before a test? That's basically what I'm doing, but the hunter version. I'm killing as many monsters as humanly possible, day and night, seven days a week. I've been hunting for two weeks straight. I haven't even laid down. I'm tired. But I promised Sam, so I have to. I feel bad for Dean, though. He helps with some hunts, but usually I just let him stay in the car. He's exhausted. Traveling tires him out a lot. Whatever, I'm glad he doesn't have to hunt as much as I do. I'm nineteen now, and I'm getting a real job soon. I already get money from hunting, depending on the monster, but it's not enough. There's no way that my body can handle much more of this. Even now, it feels like I'm going to fall asleep. The music playing from the radio is keeping me awake. I've been listening to Led Zeppelin- the slower songs- just listening to the lyrics. I never actually heard them before. I heard them, but I didn't hear them. Dean stirs in the backseat. After a second, he groans and sits up. "Hey." I greet quietly, turning the music down. "What time is it?" He asks groggily. I click my phone on and check the time. "4:38 AM." I mumble. He groans again. "Let me drive." He says. "I'm fine. Go back to sleep, it's late." I say. "Nope. I'm driving. Pull over." He orders.

I lay in the backseat with a small sigh. My eyes sting from lack of sleep. "Just go to sleep. I'll wake you up when we get there." Dean murmurs. I bite at the inside of my cheek and close my eyes. "Night, Dean. Tell me when you want me to drive," I mumble as I drift off.

I jolt awake as the Impala pulls up to a stop sign. My heart pounds. "Where are we?" I grunt, pulling myself up. "Missouri. About a half hour away from the motel," Dean explains from the front seat, glancing at my reflection in the mirror. "What time is it?" I question. "Around seven. Just go back to sleep, and stop asking so many questions," he says. I ignore his order and skillfully climb over the seat, sitting down in the passenger seat. "Too bad," I smirk. He rolls his eyes. "Hey, I need to ask you something," he says. "Hypocrite. But alright, what do you want to know?" I ask, leaning forward to turn the radio off. "Sam. He's not coming back, is he? He's out of the life?" he asks quietly. A long stretch of silence fills the car. "I don't think so, baby brother. He doesn't want to hunt anymore," I mumble, sighing before I continue, "you could get your apple pie life too, you know. You're young and handsome and smart. Any college would be lucky to have you." He clenches his jaw and looks over at me for a long second before looking back to the road. "Then why can't you? You're smarter than I am," he asks darkly. I rake my fingers through my hair. "I just can't. I'm too far into the life," I sigh. He looks sad for a second, as if he deflated. "But hey, you're almost an adult now. Not even a year until you're eighteen," I say, trying to lighten the mood. "That doesn't change anything. I'll still just hang around with you and Dad," he says. I smack his shoulder. "Shut up about that. Stop moping, or I'll give you something real to whine about," I threaten. He smirks over at me. "Yeah right," he scoffs. I raise my eyebrows. "Try me," I insist. He snickers.

I hold my pistol out in front of me, sliding around a corner. Vampires again. They seem to be everywhere. The gun won't kill them, but it'll slow them down enough for me to get my machete out. Dean is going through another entrance this time. It makes me really nervous, but it does save a lot of time. So far, the place is empty. Nerves swirl throughout my abdomen. I blow out a silent sigh and round another corner. "Delilah!" a familiar voice yells. I stiffen and whip around. My name echoes through the hall. "Dean!" I call and jog through the hall. My eyes lock onto him, and his onto me. "Sorry," he croaks, pale lips quivering. I raise my pistol to meet the vampire's forehead. "Sorry isn't enough."
