Chris hoped the jury saw what he just saw, because if they did, their verdict was easy, Devin was not guilty. It took about ten minutes for the jury to vote in the juror's room. Once done, they entered the room and sat down again.
"All rise for the verdict." The judge said.
Everyone in the room stood.
The judge then read, "In the case of a Mr. Devin Sola being charged with abuse of a spouse, 12/12 Jurors find him, not guilty. On the charge of Mr. Sola resisting arrest, we find him not guilty on the terms that his arrest is suspicious, if no call to 911 was made and no record of those officers ever working for this county. Mr. Sola, you are free to go."
Devin let out a breath he'd been holding. The guys silently cheered.
"WHAT YOU BELIEVED THAT FREAK OVER ME? WHAT THE HELL! YOU BELIEVE A FUCKING FAG OVER A PREGNANT WOMAN? HOW DARE YOU! I AM THE VICTIM HERE, NOT THAT FAG."
"Mrs. Behringer, I ask you so silence your self or I will hold you in competent and add that to your list of current charges which are: theft, possession of stolen items, accessory to black mail, accessory to impersonation of a federal worker and filing a false accusation."
" What's incompetent mean?"
"It means you just found yourself spending the night in a special place for people who disrupt my courtroom."
The judge sighed as Kendall was dragged away by the bailiff, kicking and screaming about how much she hated Devin.
Once it was calm, the judge said, "Court is dismissed."
Devin stood. He was in shock. The people actually believed him; he wasn't going to spend 5-10 years in prison.
The guys stood and immediately took him into a group hug. Chris had been in the middle with Devin, and was hugging him. The height difference between the two was almost comedic, but the difference between Ricky and Chris was even bigger.

Devin's life was forever changed. After being found not guilty, everything slowly died down for the most part. Devin's secrets were no longer secrets because everyone knew. Everyone knew why he was skittish and so quiet, they knew what his 'father' had done to him and he wished they didn't.
Even a year later people still sent him hate for the trial and 'what he did'. He'd block them and or report them online. The hate didn't bother him as much because it was from a bunch of dumb ignorant people who knew literally nothing.
Kendall had been give 5 years of jail time in a woman's correctional facility. Her husband was later found Identified as the cop who arrested Devin and had been the one to beat him. The children, the three year old and then new born, were sent to live with the grandparents of Kendall. The grandmother, who had met Devin and liked him, apologized many times for what her grand daughter had done. He told her, "as long as you raise those two children to be good, and have loving hearts, and be nothing like their parents and how they treated people, I am okay with the situation." The grandmother promised and raised them as well as she could.
Devin had also let go of the pain, anger and sadness in time. He wrote some pretty angry songs and slowly healed from the situation. It all made him emotionally and mentally stronger. With everyone knowing who he was, and what he had tried so hard to hide, he no longer had to hide it. He was not proud of his upbringing, but ultimately, the bad things that happened led him to be the person he was today, and who he was today was someone who was proud of what he'd accomplished on his own. Worn doll had also done very, very well over the last year. Devin had brought in some people who did limited edition designs. People like Ash Costello, Chris, and Ricky, all helped make some cool designs that people loved and bought. With the band, He'd seen the world and played in front of so many people over the years, he was proud of that accomplishment. The award for best bassist, which now sat in a trophy case in his new home, was also a very proud moment.
His new home, he shared with another roommate. It had multiple rooms and they both had their own side of the house, with a common area, the living room. The kitchen was very nice and had all nice appliances. Devin's room was his favorite room. He had everything he loved, put up on the walls. His favorite thing though, was the picture of his mom and him as a child. It reminded him of when she was still around and the times were good. His next favorite room was the living room. He and his roommate had a huge collection of movies that they had put together and built a stand for.
The guys and him got closer. He ended up telling them everything, he had told Kendall, because he knew deep in his heart, he could trust the guys. He told them in detail his childhood, so they knew the extent of how bad it truly was. There was mention of a few guys he'd dated, but not a lot of details. He also told them about his social anxiety, which explained his quietness and why he was so shy. He often got lost in his thoughts and lost attention of his surroundings while inside his mind. The one secret that had not been told was the one Kendall did not ever know, because Devin was too afraid to say it, or accept it, but he did eventually except the issue and get help on his own.
A secret wasn't a secret when you told everyone, and Devin knew this. The last year of his life had shown him that. But the final secret he had was one that he needed to let go for his own sake. It had held him down for far too long and it was time he fought the suppression.
The final secret he had was that he once had an eating disorder. That's why if you look at how he was when he was younger, he looked really, really thin opposed to now. He was healthy now and was happy. The secret he had told had not effected the relationship between the guys and him, if anything, they felt more connected and their friendship had taken a stronger, deeper connection that would last a lifetime.
