25 years earlier...
They were walking hand in hand; he was leading the ten year old girl to the river, and the other guy was on the opposite side holding her hand as well.
“Where are we going today?” The girl looked up at both of them curiously.
“Yesterday we taught you about birds in the trees. Today we are going to teach you about fishes in the river.” he replied, smiling back at the girl.
The girl nodded and excitedly pulled the two men to speed them up. They had both started tutoring her a month back and she had liked them both very much. They taught her new things everyday and in exciting ways too. Like the day before, they all climbed up the big maple tree to study all the nearby birds. The only thing was, she was asking them to tutor her in secret. Both men were getting a degree in education and had offered to tutor her for free in exchange for the experience of teaching her.
They were right in front of a wide river now, and the two men had let go of the girl’s hands and squatted down and looked at the river in silence. The girl had no idea what they were doing, but figured this was part of their next interesting lesson and squatted down next to them.
“There are so many wonderful creatures living in the water, and even more in the vast oceans. But for now we will study some creatures in this river. Now, you just watch those little fishes over there and try to think why they have shiny scales. We will be right back with equipment to study them even further.”
The girl nodded at them and did as they told her to as they both stood up and walked back to the direction they had come from.
Maybe the fish attracts little creatures with their shiny scales? Or maybe it’s for finding a mate. Wasn’t one bird like that? I think it was the peacock.
The little girl closed her eyes and tried to think back to last week where her tutors taught her about different ways animals attract their mates.
Then all of a sudden her arms were pulled back and her mouth was covered with a cloth. She looked up to see what was happening and saw her two tutors glaring at her with such dark eyes. She looked down at their hands and noticed they were each holding a knife in their hands. She cried out but was muffled with the cloth in her mouth and she noticed she couldn’t struggle because her hands were tied together behind her back. She was confused; what was happening?
The little girl quickly stepped backwards and her little feet splashed into the cool river. The two men approached her slowly, as the girl staggered back more and tripped on little rocks at the bottom of the river. She tried standing up straight, but because her hands were tied back, she kept losing her balance. They kept coming forward with their knives still in hand and the girl kept going deeper into the river. Now the water was up to her chin.
Soon her legs were not even touching the floor of the river, and she was helplessly splashing her legs to keep her head above water. Even with her hands untied, she was helpless at swimming. She knew she wouldn’t be able to keep this up.
The two men easily came closer to her and now they were right in front of her, the water only up to their stomachs. One of the men went behind her and stopped her from going back further. The other man approached closer, and now he was looking down at her, emotionless.
The girl cried some more but again was blocked with the cloth over her mouth. Tears started pouring down her cheeks. How could they do this to her? What have she done to deserve this? All she wanted was to go home to her Mama and Papa.
The two men turned their eyes away from the girl and looked at each other. They nodded together and took a deep breath. The girl helplessly struggled and cried some more. The two men then took their arm back and swiftly stabbed the girl with their knives.
Blood oozed from the little girl’s body as she fell lifeless….

This is my first time writing a descriptive part of a murder. I hope it's not too bad.
