It was what I had presumed the weather to be like; wet and cloudy with a grey sky. The crispy morning brought chills to my body and I rapped my arms around my cut shoulders.

My legs were aching from the run and my head was spinning rapidly from the pressure. My cuts were throbbing from the grip of my cold pale hands wrapped tightly on my shoulders and my eyes were watering with a desperate look of survival.

I was cold and anxious to search for Dean. He could be what I've been looking for! The wind started to pick up and I gripped myself tighter while I exited the gloomy forest. The London City was beautiful when it wanted to be but today was not so nice.

I tumbled down the hill and made a run for the city in the far distant. I forced my legs to keep moving but every second I took a step further, I'd start to feel shaky and painful needles poking me. But thankfully to my vampire healing I would look human again in about 15 minutes. That's all! I know awesome right? Instantly my cuts started fading and my legs felt somewhat stronger.

I made it to the city faster and stopped at a cheap clothes market held on the outer part of the city. I bought a black jacket to cover my worn-out shirt and replaced my torn jeans with another pair of dark blue ones. I looked normal enough!

"Excuse me Miss?" A middle aged man called from behind, "You forgot to pay for those clothes?"

"Oh I'm so sorry!" I hesitate and unsteadily search for my wallet. I grab hold of my old clothes in the bag and hunt for my wallet but suddenly the thought of it being burned came to mind. I halt and confront the shop keeper "Give me a minute please. I think I've left it in the telephone booth" The man nods and waits impatiently out front while tapping his foot every few seconds.

When I reach the phone booth, I quickly look back and make a run for it. From afar I could hear his croaky calls calling for me but I kept on running.

As I run I watch the two decker buses drive passed me in interest. I always used to love sitting at the top and watch the world go by. Just that feeling of freedom was what I loved. I didn't need to run, or hide. I was simply that normal high school student.

I walked closer into the city and halted when I saw a map plastered on a billboard. While I was scanning the map, I brought out his file to check his school name. Rockwood High was what it said.

I squinted my eyes and skimmed through the many location on the London map. Suddenly my eyes met with a red dot showing the name Rockwood High above. Gotcha! I ripped the map off the billboard and made another quick run, leaving all the crazy stares I got from the public.

It wasn't far. All I had to do was walk across London Bridge and then make one right turn, keep walking and then head south. It was closer than I thought!

I scrunched the map in my hand and started a quick jog to the bridge. The smell of blood was everywhere; I almost had to control my hungry from going wild. I could sense my eyes changing colour.

That was something I had hard controlling. Keeping my eyes just one colour was tough and it required a lot of training to master.

While I was lost in thought, I accidentally ran into a hard figure. I tumbled to the ground and shock my head. "Jeez Raven, watch where you're going man. You ran into a girl" My eyes shot up from the ground to be welcomed with dark brown ones. He looked about 5'6 in height with chocolate brown hair.

His friend on the hand looked to be 5'7. He had dark brown hair with gentle light brown eyes.

"Oh sorry" The guy named Raven kindly placed out his hand for me to grab but I refused to hold it. I got up and dusted myself off quickly. They all raised an eye brow.

"Thanks but I think I can manage" I said in a calm manner.

All of them raised an eye brow, looking quite startled by my sudden refusal. "Uh sorry, are you ok then?"

"I'm fine, thanks anyway. I'm kind of in a rush. Bye!" I zoomed passed them, feeling their eyes following me as I run. Now I'll be late. There schools probably finished by now!

15 minutes later I arrived at the end of his street. I noticed his tall red brick wall outside the school and his old fashioned entrance. I was right; I was late. The schools gates were closed. I sighed frustrated while looking around for a place to stay near the school.

Down the street I noticed – what it looked like - a 20 story building. It looked old but had a nice feeling to it. I walked to the building and stepped inside to be welcomed with nicely polished white tiles and a light wooden counter. "Hello how can I help you?" the dark haired male asked me. He had that strong British accent that all Londoner's owned.

"Uh yes sorry" I paused to look around a bit more, and then I moved my eyes back to his, "Can I please have a room for one?"

He nodded and turned to grab a silver key from the notice board behind him. "You'll be number 26, on the 6th floor" he pointed to the elevator and I smiled

"Thank you" I looked at his name badge, "Zac"

Zac laughed "Have a good day miss. Enjoy your stay"

I got into the lift and watched the numbers go up. When I reached level six, I wondered down the halls to look for my room number. Once I found my door number, I put in the key, turned it and pushed the door open. My room was simple. I had dark blue carpet with cream walls. For furniture I had a small bench side table and on top a modern styled lamp.

My bed had white sheets and a light blue cover. On the left was the small hallway leading to my white tiled bathroom. I had one cream coloured sink with a wide mirror. My shower was small with a clear cover hanging from a metal bar. It was plain but it would do.

I threw my old clothes in the bin and jumped on the bed. The feeling of the soft sheets relaxed my stiff body. It wasn't until I realised I had closed my eyes and hopelessly fell into a deep sleep.
